Give that a try or wait for the patch to go live
Oh I had a lot of these issues using the beta, i actually went back to the older version hoping to fix them
I completely started fresh to be sure
At the moment I am finding very few bugs and none gamebreaking.
My pop is just over 100
Well like I said in the post, my main bugs are the farmers not offering goods for sale and stocking them (despite being told not to). And the villagers not buying food despite having money.
Other issues I have is them not restocking the feeding areas for the animals, not picking up the animals from the trader (despite having plenty of free time) or no stashing their belongings in their containers.
I encountered this issue myself for farmers, but I also found that it can affect other professions (eg. foragers). From my observations, it is likely that all professions are liable to suffer the bug, but I do not know what the trigger is. Note that the bug is encoded in the save file and persists on load.
Here are workarounds verified to work:
1. Relocate storefront to another zone (eg. from farm to household); it will still sell as long as it is owned a family
2. Give the storefront a newly-made small subzone within the larger zone (eg. a 3x3 zone embedded in the large zone used for the storefront; this only needs to be done when the problem arises
3. Delete the zone and recreate it. You may choose to replicate the original parameters as it will work even if it is a perfect clone. Note that this will allow you to maintain the same storefront position and the same zone without needing to artificially create a new subzone; this solution is more elegant than solution #2
4. Delete the storefront entirely; the villeins associated with the deleted storefront will either use another storefront they own if they own multiple (not sure why you would do this, but it's an option) OR they will sell their goods at the (local) market place using an open stoerfront.
It can be reasonable inferred from the solutions above that the zone itself becomes corrupt specifically in relation to storefronts, but may be entirely operational per usual otherwises (eg. farmers farm and foragers forage without issue). Hence, the workaround to this problem is to move the storefront to a new zone (pre-existing or new) in some form or other.
Thanks! Thats such a detailed answer, I reallly apreciate it a lot. I will keep it in mind for the next time i play.
