Trash Pile Behaviour is Totally Broken
Clergy is the worst offender here, or any other family which has more than one 'zone'. The problem is that once a family creates a trash pile, then that random space the trash pile is on becomes all-important for their hauling, because any future trash will be placed on the same pile. So if the original pile is in a bad location, you are stuffed.
I put clergy production in one area, and then build churches in the middle of town. BIG MISTAKE. Because the clergy will invariably create a trash pile in one place, and then the clergy is forever walking backwards and forwards to achieve a whole lot of nothing.
I can get, in every game I have tried, a lockup so that clergy are totally incapable of constructing anything ever again. I am not sure if this is related to trash pile behaviour, but the total lack of working is really making me annoyed.
I have to do a work around where I mark out the clergy buildings, then I remove the zone so the noble family will come and build for the clergy. It is totally and utterly absurd and broken, and it has been this way for quite some time now.
Can we PLEASE stop this trash pile nonsense. The change you made to reduce the creation of multiple trash piles did clean up the screen a lot, but it also completely broke the game by enforcing very long walks all the time. I would much prefer you go back to pile-spam so that the toons can actually do their jobs.

i found that you can get rid of the trash piles when you build them all the neccessary storing locations. usually a trash pile only exists if they do not have storing capacity. as soon as you build it for them they should move the stuff in there.
take a close look at all the different storages (ground storage, cabinet, chest, silo etc.) to see what each is used for.
mostly one of each is enough, but it depends on what the family is actually doing. especially with ground storage they might need more, maybe 5-10, since it can only hold one commodity each.
