Tips for getting 3 stars?

I just finished bookshelf levels and I finished it two times and both times I get 2/3 stars, any tips on how to get 3 stars? Thanks.

Yes I got the 3 stars I'll tell you if you can tell me how I can use the workshop, the option is greyed out for some reason.
I can use the editor but uploading or playing other players levels doesn't work.

Ok now I found it out in the options menue you can deactivate online-functionality I did it accidentally because of the sensitive sticks, ouch that's nasty.

Anyway sry I was desperate since I couldn't get an answer now I can help you.

- Don't care so much about time it only gives you a fraction of points you can earn, the most important aspect of bubble bobble is to build high bubble chains.

- The highest bubble chain determine the quality of points at the end of the stage. So for example bananas are the lowest rewards, while you can earn oranges from double chains, peaches from triple, watermelons from quadruple and so on...

- So bascially trap enemies who are close to each other into bubbles or bring them close to each other (by timing their movement cycle, or pushing the bubbles into a jetstream).

- if their is a small but notable distance between two trapped enemy groups in bubbles you can create empty bubbles to space the distance out, as long all bubbles pop up in a chain you'll be good.

- the best way to earn a majority of points is level 7. There you can trap almost every enemy in the middle of the stage creating an 8 chain combo. This gives you the higest possible rewards, diamonds and crowns.

If you're competent you will able to gain at least 800k points. I believe you need 750k for three stars.
