💀💀💀💀💀
Price of everything in game credits jacked up, forcing you to spend even more money to buy even more credits through selling the Cartel Market items and linking credits to real currency transactions.
Rewards for everything reduced... Try playing an alt or start on a new server and try playing legit.
Being a subscriber means nothing anymore. They take subs for granted.
Any time you bug report you get patronized and talked down to like they are better than you and literally telling you to "git gud" and the game is "balanced and working as intended" when you are a maxed out character. When you are a sub, founder, and one of the original beta testers... Who bought the full collectors edition... The most expensive full price game of it's time... With over 1000 hours on steam alone.
Everything is time gated. Limiting your progress you can get every week for the battle pass and upgrade currencies, and every day for the new dog, punishing you for not playing rather than rewarding you for playing. All for no reason. Forcing you to play constantly and treat this game like a job and forced to log in every day/week rather than take your time and enjoy it. What about not only playing it the way you want, but WHEN you want?
Extreme FOMO predatory practices.
Marking items on "sale" at their full price so they can further jack up the price when it isn't on "sale".
The extreme, yes, extreme greed and the insane time requirements forcing you to no-life this game and play nothing else but this game and keep you playing or you miss out is killing it.
Maybe it's just me deciding enough is enough, but I am utterly heart broken playing this game now and it has done nothing but upset me. The game has no respect for the players and what was once the best MMO of all time has become nothing but a money machine filled with mobile game "mechanics". I loved this game. It has a lot of sentimental meaning to me... But it feels like Conan Exiles happening all over again.
I know what I need to do (unsub, uninstall, block developer), but I wish I didn't have to... But Broadsword is leaving me no choice anymore. The new story sucks, to being outright insulting. The game balance is beyond broken and companions are still too weak/nerfed. The constant greed is insane, to the point of having to spend real money even for credits. Yes, they tell you to do this and it will "fix the economy". They literally tell you "buying credits is for the health of the games economy". And nothing about this is fun anymore... It's all time gates and grinds and FOMO and greed.
They could let you buy Cartel Market items with credits (or make a vendor with new things worth buying for credits) if they wanted to remove credits so bad, but noooo... But don't worry. We are too stupid to figure out something so obvious since we are just stupid gamers. Be silent and consume the next product, sheep!
I no longer play any games with "in game transactions". Those are not games. It's time draw the line and remember what gaming is rally about. SWTOR got a pass because of sentiment, and the cash shop was actually tolerably better before...
People talk about "there's over 50 people in all zones"... The most my partner and I ever saw on Odessa and Nar Shadda was 15. Only 3000 people online now. And somehow the devs are getting even more predatory and anti-gamer.
I love this game... But I have come to realize that this is only making me more miserable and all the joy is being stolen out of it. And the disrespect when talking to a GM about the games problems is absurd. They don't want to fix it. They can't defend it. So of course the only action is to blame you and make gaslight excuses to try to justify known issues.
Gotta protect that bottom line and get that cash no matter what!
That is all that matters now...
So Broadsword, is this going to change, or is it time to say good bye?
This entire Dev Team should be on a blacklist from touching another video game.
