sadly, nope.
Ignore this, all the Comps are the same with only minor ability differences on how they affect the world. They all have Taunts if in Tank Spec, they all have Heals if in Heal Spec, and all Deal Damage if in Damage Spec. The only difference is the Class the Comp is designed on. Shae is a BH Tank/DPS/Healer. So when she is in those specs she has the same abilities as a Player of the same Class. For example, a Tank Spec Shae has use of Grapple just like a Player Bounty Hunter.
This is NOT the case with Unique Creature and Droid Companions, as well as Treek. These examples have UNIQUE abilities unlike the normal Companions. For example, Treek has a Heal Grenade in Heal Spec allowing her to burst heal a group of people. Beast Companions have unique Abilities that mirror what a Class does but are altered in some way.
So to summarize, don't buy into the "She's the Best Comp" baloney people keep spouting. All Comps are equal in talent. The only reason you would want to pick Shae over another Companion is 1, you like her. Or 2, you enjoy having a BH Tank/Heal/DPS in your party. Same for Nico, you only pick him if you like having a Smuggler (Gunslinger variant not the Stealth version).
As long as you raise their Reputation up they will be on equal terms stat-wise as every other comp.
Sweet, thanks!
That is NOT the case at all as DPS tests have shown, of which Shae comes out top for AOE

Of course the majority of companions are fine for general play but some do indeed perform better than others.(An some are bugged which makes them under perform)
Overall If youre subbed then its a great free addition, if not & plan to sub then nows a good time.
If you dont ever plan to sub then dont worry about it you'll still be fine.
Enjoy
Nice Cherry Pick there. This IS the Case because as I said "The COMP REPLICATE PLAYER CLASSES. So the AOE DPS of Shae is the mirror of a Bounty Hunter Player, which consistantly deals higher AOE damage than other classes. Perhaps instead of ignoring my entire comment and focusing on the last couple sentences you would have noticed I already denoted that you should bring Comps relative to what you like as Party Members. If you prefer AOE then by all means, you want BH Comps. If you want Ranged Burst, go with a Gunslinger/Sniper. You want to Stack so you can AOE, bring in a Melee Brute like Khem/Torian/Akaavi.
Do not get blindsided by someone making a chart that is skewed towards someones preference. Each player has a unique Playstyle and cannot be quantified to "This is better, look I made a chart!".
Each player should gather an understanding of what sort of composition they want their 2 man team to be. If they are a squishy clothy hurling lightning, they will want a beefy tank who is able to get enemies off them. If they want to burst down enemies, perhaps they want Nico or HK for the Single Target DPS? Maybe they are a Tank Spec and want to stack everything in one place and AOE it all down in one go. Then by all means Shae is perfect.
Comps have more to do with them than just numbers.
