Romance options fore female or male character

After all this time, they still haven’t added the possibility of a romance between a female character and female companions Vette, Ashara, Nadia, etc., from the beginning of the game and not in the add-ons?

Some of the vanilla game companions have been changed this way, but i doubt they'll go ahead and add more to it since basically every vanilla companion has already made a return in some form of way and the devs will continue to put no resources into it. Male or female main character.

Just be lucky that we're getting date nights with the KOTXX companions with 7.4.1. And keep your fingers crossed that they keep their promise of adding 1-2 more comps for date nights PER SEASON.

There are no same sex romances during the class stories. Once you start in on the expansions than that opens up but it's only certain NPC's.

mmm one says that some partners have added such an opportunity, the other says that everything is less, who to believe? About the add-ons, I know that there is such a thing, but then I didn’t play for a long time and thought maybe they finally added it. Moreover, right now it is a popular topic everywhere to add relationships for any options

Well not in the base game, only the add ons. And even then, the devs haven't fleshed out the vanilla game comp romances beyond a two minute cutscene.

Game was released on 2011, a time when "being gay" was pretty taboo. Also pretty sure majority of players are male.

So as a result of both, male characters get better romance options and also some classes get 2 romances, while females always get one and imo they are always worse.

Only female character that gets 2 I think it's the sith warrior with Quinn and Pierce. But Pierce is more like a fling so wouldn't really count

I hadn't played my Imp Op for a while was just logging on him to craft, I started Makeb and to my surprise there was two flirt options, my character is male and there was options to flirt with the female and also options to flirt with one of the male npcs but I'm not sure about female flirting with female, I've honestly never finished a class story I'm so casual it's nuts, but just wanted to toss that in there that there's at least the one male/male flirt options in the game that I know of

They haven't done that because it would require them to record new lines for all the low level stories. It's not just the expense of doing that. Voice actors' voices change over time, so new lines they recorded wouldn't sound the same as the original voices they recorded for the game. It would be jarring. The only way to fix that would be re-recording all the class stories from scratch. Just not going to happen.

Anyways, here's a list of the same sex romances in the game:
Lemda Avesta - Rise of the Hutt Cartel (Republic side), not a companion so it doesn't go anywhere after finishing the expansion story.
Lord Cytharat - Rise of the Hutt Cartel (Empire side), not a companion so it doesn't go anywhere after finishing the expansion story.
Theron Shan - Shadows of Revan, Fallen Empire, Eternal Throne
Lana Beniko - Shadows of Revan, Fallen Empire, Eternal Throne
Koth Vortena - Fallen Empire, Eternal Throne
Arcann - Eternal Throne

There's also some companions that can be same sex romances when they return after Knights of the Eternal Throne:
Elara Dorne - Trooper only
Kira Carsen - Jedi Knight only
Lord Scourge - Jedi Knight only (I think)
Nadia Grell - Jedi Consular only
Jaesa Wilsaam - Sith Warrior only, both Dark and Light versions
Khem Val - Sith Inquisitor only

They will be adding "Date Night" missions for all the companions over time, so eventually there will be a little more substance to the returning companion same sex romances. It's probably going to be several years for some of them though.
