is swtor dead?
Hi. I just read that Bioware will stop developing content for the game. That's a shame because I've been playing the game for about a month, like it and wanted to spend money on it.

there are dedicated fans that play the game but do not expect much of multiplayer content
if you want to play just story content go for it

Bioware handed it over to a new company.

In my opnion as a newer player who never got far into the game, I played a bit of biowares, but this new company seems to be more hands on and really bringing it up to speed. The already gave it a graphics overhaul I think as well.

edit: So no I dont think its dead, I think its getting a big revival (if it was ever dead to begin with)

its not, the game has about a few thousand players on at seperate times, almost always over 100 people on the core worlds dk and coursaunt, and combining all 5 to 6 servers, about a few hundred thousand, so shut your damn mouth

THE END Jan 11 @ 7:13pm
it's not dead at all, you find players all around almost anytime a day and guilds are still recruiting. Also discord still active. Star Wars and Star Trek won't die , both are classic and beyond, always will live in the hearts forever within each generation.

Naw. OEM and RPM currency in this game are like WOW Tokens. Guaranteed sale. Just sold 2 RPM on the market and banked over 32 million. When any of the above mentioned currencies stop selling or crashes is when you know they are truly about to die.

Stop missleading people, if you also had read more thoroughly most people from bioware who were in the swtor development moved to Broadsword.

Source on "most"? Because it was not most. It was a very small number of people.

Fact stands, Bioware has ended support for the game.

My original comment providing context was deleted without any notification and reason provided.

Anyway, if you notice the date of the original post, you will find "Apr 11, 2024 @ 6:02pm". As you apparently may not be aware, 2024 was last year. Around that time, there were already several threads discussing if SWTOR was dead, so I was answering this particular thread in a sarcastic manner as a means of saying "just quit, then". Reading further than just my first comment would reveal that I don't actually believe that SWTOR is dead. Context clues from similar threads would have also revealed the same.
