is it related to not being able to retrieve server list by any chance?
I donwloaded the game via steam, created a new swtor account and bought the latest DLC offer on Dec 27th and have not been able to play yet, I get as far the game trying to show me the servers available, it's empty and after a couple of minutes I get an error about unable to retrieve server list.

Have you entered wrong password a couple of times? Happened to me, had to wait for 5 minutes before trying to login again,

i had this issue after the last update, then i unticked "Remember this account" and tried to login again and it worked...swtor launcher is an enigma

This is what happened to me as well. I did end up waiting about an hour before trying again, and didn't have the issue anymore.

IDK their customer support is terrible too. Only option is to call? Like, dude, I have no voice because I'm sick, and you want me to call? I'm trying to get back into my account that I've had since the game Beta Tested to kill some time and see how its changed in the couple years since I dropped it and this is beyond frustrating.
