Legacy of the Sith question

I stopped playing before Legacy of the Sith came out a few years ago but I was otherwise caught up with all the story content. All the reviews I can find for it were launch reviews from early 2022 that bashed it for being 2-3 hours tops but with more to come later in future patches, but nothing more current.

So my question is after several years did it ever drop more content as time went on? Is it worth resubbing just for Legacy of the Sith, I know it comes with 5 more levels to raise the cap and then just regrinding max level gear augments/mods/etc. But if you played it what would you guesstimate is the length of the full expansion story content?

They have added chapters... but not a lot. Unfortunately we get drip fed about 30 minutes worth of cutscenes once a year. The game is mostly dead and has basically a small budget with a skeleton crew of like 30 people. That's just the reality of a game this old that is not getting proper support.

Thanks for the answer, that's unfortunate. Yeah I re-downloaded the game cause I got that notice "If you haven't logged in during 2024 all your characters will lose their names". As I was logging into each of my characters to keep their names I noticed the fleets had next to no one running around the stations. I was hoping Broadsword didn't acquire the rights just to let it sunset.

Broadsword will keep the game running. I don't see it shutting down for at least a few more years, but the updates are definitely getting smaller and smaller.

Now they are releasing some different new content with the next patch; 'hot spots' or something which will be events on different planets. Tat and another older planet get the first ones. To me it sounded like a couple new quests leading into an open boss kind of thing. That's been announced as the next content so no clue when more 'legacy' stuffs coming.

**** Just logged in on mmorpg and the 'Dynamic Enounters Task System' (hot spots) AND a new story chapter drop tomorrow.

They are basically FATES from FFXIV. Just overworld events.

I calculated about 6 hours of story in total for one character:
7.0 - Manaan + Ruins of Nul flashpoint - About 45 minutes per side, 1.5 hours if you play both Republic and Empire (different stories for each of them).
7.1 - Digging Deeper - About 30 minutes per side, 1 hour if you play both sides.
7.2 - Showdown on Ruhnuk - About 1.5 hours total, but it's the same story for both sides.
7.3 - Old Wounds - About 30 minutes total, same story on both sides.
7.4 - Chains in the Dark - About 30 minutes total, 1 hour if you play both sides
7.5 - Desperate Defiance - About 1.5 hours total, same story on both sides.

Of course more if you do the story on alts, but yeah, not a whole lot of story. I guess it's about equal with Onslaught at this point.

Its all about Shae's Rival Being her Daughter she had with Malgus after their time on Jerry Springer.
