Problem child: Speeder Ability
Boy, I'm just full of questions ain't I?

I have a character. Said character has speeder ability showing as "Passive". I bought a hawt l'il speeder... pretty expensive. I can't get the ability to change from "Passive" to "Active" so I can "burn up that 1/4 mile" on my ride.

When I trained, or thought I did, I clicked to look up the requirements for rank 2 speeder - outta my league.

Problem - I can't get ANY trainers to show me level one training available to buy any more... I mean ANY trainers?

Is there a way out of this dilemma?

I would really like to blaze some trails, any suggestions?
Cheers,
T.

If you are able to use a speeder then you should already have level 1 unlocked. You can check by opening your legacy tab which is "Y" by default

You only have to buy each speeder piloting once per character and it works with all your mounts. Speeder Piloting I gives +90% movement speed with any mounts you learned. When you get high enough level, Speeder Piloting II is another one-time purchase that gives +100% movement speed with all mounts you learned. Same for Speeder Piloting III. IV and V are not on the trainer but in the Legacy window, but they cost a lot more credits, so usually only good to buy on main characters.

Did you right-click the speeder you bought? It should disappear from your inventory once you "learn" it. Then you can summon it from the Abilities (P) window in the Mounts tab. You can drag it to one of your quickbars to more easily summon your mount.

If I remember correctly any speeder from the cartel market gives you level 1

That's a perk of the speeders from 3 mount bundles:
Join the Fight bundle (K-NorCo B5C mount)
Master the Fight: Firebolt Edition bundle
Master the Fight: Starbolt Edition bundle
