2. Sith Warrior / Inquisitor, fresh look at "bad" guys, last time I saw something like that in Force Unleashed.
3. Bounty Hunter - so-so, I can be better, but...
4. All pub stories are boring and mediocre at best. I do not even care to mention them individually.
UPD: I will mention the pub's smuggler individually - you are a smuggler who does ANYTHING beside smuggling.
- Smuggler is just plain fun
That being said, I enjoyed them all the first time.
In subsequent play throughs, I'd say... Trooper and both Sith arcs are my favourites probably, at least I have more characters across two servers in those three classes than any of the others.
Currently doing a Smuggler pirate / semi-dark side character for the first time, and it's surprisingly fun and feels lore accurate (if that makes sense), also considering I'm wooing Risha + using her as my main companion and she's pretty much on board with every decision leading to me becoming a galactic crime boss.
Having a lot of fun with that one despite knowing all the beats from previous play throughs, so it's a strong candidate for new fav.
1) It is intricately connected to each of the planets' overall lore and you'll learn much more of the different cultures than in any of the other storylines.
2) It is a very convincing depiction of how a "real" Jedi diplomat would act and react who is completely detached from his/her emotions and not tied to any grand personal drama.
The second point especially is the main reason for why most players find it extremely boring and unappealing, which I totally understand because it doesn't make for very good entertainment, but that is pretty much the point of being a Jedi diplomat.
I wasn't a fan of it either, especially when you're taken control of and end up just being along for the ride.
For example, the Trooper story is fine, but I'm not into military stuff, so it was the least interesting for me.
The Sith Inquisitor story is the worst, because it makes you look like an idiot who can't get things done without massive help from others. But it is fun playing a Sith who can throw his weight around and it has the best ending.
Btw, about trooper, I have really been bored almost all time, but when I in court just strait executed my offender, I only once felt satisfied as trooper.
My overall favorite was my male consular.
Had a perfect match to character, voice, personality.
And shadow for the first time was a lot of fun.
Female Warrior was my 2nd favorite.
Warrior has a storyline with few surprises.
It's just fun, and very repayable.
Agent had the problem that I never successfully replayed it.
It's strong point is the unexpected, and because of that, it suffers in the long run.
I very much liked my Agent though.
Up until the KOTFE got me frustrated enough at the story mismastch that I yeeted her and all other characters that went through the ordeal of trying different options in that mangled "story" off my account.
The stories each all have their own things that might appeal.
It's more about what one likes.
I did poorly in picking out my female consular, and female smuggler.
I've never finished a female bounty hunter, always delete, and go back to male.
I've never finished a male agent.
1. Imperial Agent (both Light Side and Dark Side choices, this story line was the best)
2. Sith Warrior (Light Side Choices create an amazing story, but Dark Side's a bit cliche)
3. Jedi Knight (Light Side for story is cliche yet fun, while dark side choices are hilarious)
4. Bounty Hunter (it was an okay story line that is disconnected from the rest)
5. Smuggler (another okay story but it gets old pretty quick--still better than some others)
6. Jedi Consular (started putting me to sleep but finished on a good note)
7. Sith Inquisitor (I had to push through this one, it was boring but I wanted the legacy)
8. Republic Trooper (you can tell it had potential, but it ended up being the most boring of all).
Bounty hunter is great for what it is and has some of the best crew reactivity (better than trooper imo)
Inquisitor is great, but the final antagonist and 3 out of 5 companions kinda suck. Good if you want a character that gets multiple followers outside the crew
Jedi knight is full of highs and lows. Good companions, and some pretty bad supporting characters. Praven is cool af. Traditional well rounded kotor vibe
Smuggler is fun, but like inquisitor the crew is very hit or miss. Wish there was more jedi sith dynamics like the tatooine mission
Trooper is ok, but the supporting characters make it a snore. The companion crew is actually pretty good. I like all five of them. Unfortunately there isnt as much of a dynamic going on as in bounty hunter or sith warrior. The results of which companion you want to promote as your second is a bit of a let down. Trooper is lacking spice
Consular is very one note. There's some good companions, but the plot is mostly the same throughout with little twists and turns. Again lacking any spice, which might be the point
Except the voice, gender change something ? 🤔
LS inquisitor just feels right
Yes, these were written before the anti-diversity flatten and uninteresting everything took over the corporate gaming space.
