I don't know how about you... But I really love new character's textures.

I found them nice little upgrade, now they look little more live that before, especial dark characters. Only one drawback - I need to redo most of mine screenshotes and personal wallpaper at engine... Once more into the breach...

I know some players found them... Not so attractive, but I strongly disagree, because most of the faces were like they brushed with smooth (a lot) in Photoshop before, but now they just neat.

So the fact they aged our characters 30 years or so and the chiss looking like they've spent days taking a mud bath is a good thing. Well shoot, guess I was missing out all this time. O.o

"Some players" Majority of the players do not like this update. Which is very evident by just reading the official forums.

It would be cool if Broadsword surprised us with a new Expansion that comes with a massive engine upgrade as in, it uses the Unreal 5 Engine that can go down to what we currently have for those that have older hardware and for those that have newer hardware can set it higher. ;-) I know, wishful thinking....but can you say you don't wish for that to happen?

obviously you can't have 2 different engines running the base vs expansion and think that will coincide, lol. am sure you knew that.

would take a complete rewrite from ground zero means omfg SWTOR 2 @@@ (not happening tho). Broadsword is a 5 man army in maintenance mode at this point, lol

The skin textures have a realistic look imo, but, the wrinkles didn't need to be so pronounced. Beyond the wrinkles though, it's decent imo.

I look at games like GTA Online and wonder just what the heck Rockstar's doing. Yet here is a old MMO from 2011, with the equivalent of a skeleton crew, and they managed to at least give this game some visual upgrades. So no, I'm not going to complain and really, for the most part my character looks fine.

Many of my characters look better, But a few look horrible, Guess i'll wear helmets on those characters. When a new idea come into a game there will be people on both sides of the love/hate fence. Basically it has not changed the game play so it is not a big deal for me.

My characters don't look that different so i'm not complaining. That being said i've played this game long since before it went free to play and i'm just stuck on the old look. I'ma miss it.

so my characters survived unscathed, but I did look through some of the other heads / options and I feel so, so, so, so, so, so, so bad for everybody who was originally using one of the...um...ruined? ones.

because they are bad -- REALLY REALLY REALLY bad, which means you basically have to spend real money (even at 90% off that's still 10% of something that costs real money) to get a character that doesn't look like something (my analogy is too disgustingly vulgar so just think 'really gross' here)

it sucks. I hope they fix it. I really, really hope that they fix it for those people impacted. (they have my condolences. honestly. it's THAT bad.)

I can see where the confusion is coming from though, because like I said, mine are fine. I just happened to use combinations for most of my gals that translated to the new stuff VERY well. had I not gone and poked at the new stuff (or seen a couple of the THINGS run past me on fleet), I'd have been really confused about why people were sad
