I do love SWTOR (64bit coming soon)

Just wanted to share my love to this game, it is the only Star wars game on the market currently worth playing.

1. Jedi Fallen Things = not for everyone
2. Two Battlefronts by EA = hard died to the ground


These are all in my opinion, but it should be your opinion too, do you really think we going to a SWTOR 2.0 or ANY star wars game other than jedi fallen order in 2022? Even Amazon failed on New World, Jedi Survive coming soon but again, its not for everyone.

be proud that we have darth baras and his fat ass which is amazing.

btw that they announced 64bit client is finally coming out, check the community page of swtor

Amazon failed on New Worlds because they didn't care enough for their community and just wanted a cash grab right off the top. That didn't work out for them. I hope they pass the game off to developers who do care for the game their community and then watch it come back with a vengeance. it's far too young and full of potential to let it die just like that, it would be a considerable waste.

OP, I'm on the same boat atm... I have huge Star Wars itch but there is nothing that scratches that itch. I think SWTOR is as close as it can be to scratch it with BF 2 with mods...
I really hope that some day, some company will create something that gives us character creation, choice of a class and story and immersive open world planets.
Right now is good time to create such game because technology we have now.
BUT, sadly... I don't believe that we see anything good as BF2 or SWTOR for quiet some time.

Fallen Order is interesting. I used to think souls-like were a niche genre, but they've been really popping off lately. Unfortunately for me, I just don't care to play those types of games unless they have co-op and I can get carried through the whole game (Code Vein).

bf2? mass effect the singplayer swtor ects, there are as good or better then swtor. swtor have alot of cons so. there a good feel with open world planets too.

dark soul truely made a new genre. it's funny and idk about popping off lately. still alot of misses and fair about co-op but they also not meant to be but also r. they are weird. also code vein was super fun. cant wait for cv2 and the ai alone cant carry you lol.

Wish they would remake this game or do a sequel. This was one of my favorite MMO to play, outstanding leveling experience that no other mmo come close to. However, it has never been graphically updated or revamped, so it wont attract any of the younger players and the old ones like me have played it to death already.

Although since Disney now owns Starwars (it didnt when this game was made), if they ever made another Starwars MMO it would likely be a politically charged story about wokeness. Maybe it's best that we remember this game as the last good Starwars mmo.

it's unlikely EA will waste resources on a remake or a serious upgrade, while true 64 bit is coming, i doubt the developers have the resources or the ability to push for a serious upgrade once 64 bit is in place. Rest is on EA to figure out if they want to disprove that.

The game needs a NEW lvl update, new graphics.... meaning from 64 bit??? The game needs a REMAKE!!! In fact it's like two different games (remember SKYRIM?) BUT even the 64 version took a step forward in graphics quality rather than just saying = now you can use more Рс RAM -_- but what's the point???
Despite the excellent storyline (which is rare in MMOs) ... it is morally obsolete.

and that game is a mess like Madden 23. EA can sell smelly ones from toilets as if they were brown bread freshly baked out of the oven, they only need to say it is brown bread and it sells. Customers don't see what they should when they research, if they research at all.

That doesn't say alot about the success of a game in comparison to SWTOR, but it does give EA what they want, your wallets opened and for you to throw money at the computer screen.

they made their 7 billion over the 40 years they have been around. they might not go under but they could be brought out and sold piece by piece if needed.

We all can dream Zendu lol. Thing is, with Disney owning SW a private wouldn't be able to afford the rights to make such a game. Big Companies don't care enough and only care about the money they can make. They don't particularly then what the customers want, only to the extent that of which sells. I decides to learn to write code in C# with unity. Its a fairly easy language to learn but it certainly isn't the best. Unity is good but its kinda hard to make things look really good, At least from experience. I have tried to reverse engineer this game to an extent but its a huge undertaking for 1 lonely dude. Also being a solo private dev and legality issues, i have to come up with my own story, background and the works.. i cannot afford the rights to the SW universe and I'm not a very good writer. I can dream it but the reality is it takes a big team with different specialties and skills to make something amazing.
