Your side must match the winning side and a victory state must be running.
If your side does not match the winning side world bosses from the opposite side will spawn on certain planets during the victory state and you must kill them to get tokens for your side.
If you kill those bosses and your side matches the winning side you get no rewards for betraying your side.
Hope it helps
There is no need of any special effort, just patience.
To get a token, you must:
* Be strongly aligned to the side you are fighting for.
* Level up a Renown Rank while your side is winning (not just victory state).
I just play the usual content and don't bother with any special farming or whatsoever. I've never killed any bosses and still get tokens. I just play the game and get them when I level up a renown level when my character is on the current winning allignment side. From time to time I check how many tokens I have and then buy what I want.
So to quote a certain jedi : Patience you must have, my young padawan.
In my game I usually only get the tokens if I lvl up renown only while my side is winning and victory state is active (never noticed getting them if my side was just victorious or winning). This is why I commented that
I think I mentioned the "world boss" expression so OP should know if he/she is familiar with what a world boss is. And its an operation group, a basic group wont do it here.
Plus this bosses usually hit harder and are more challenging than the normal world bosses in the worlds
Yup the bosses are for groups of 8-16 players. You can get more people but only a max of 16 get loot. The DvL bosses are harder than the regular world bosses as well. Also when you do fight these bosses : win. Because if you lose and the group wipes then the boss despawns.
Pretty much the reason why many people don't bother with DvL bosses anymore. It's just not worth the effort. Hard to get a group for them.
