Yes.

I'd say it's more friendly to solo players than to groups.

Yes, definitely worth it and friendly to solo players.

Would recommend every Star Wars fan to at least give it a try.

Definitely is worth playing. I started the game recently. The story is good, The OST is excellent, and the combat is outdated, but you will not notice when you get sunk in the story.

It's free so you lose nothing but a bit of time if you don't like it.
If you do like it, you might actually find this game suits your fancy.
I would say that is a reasonable gamble. Give it a shot!

It's worth playing solo, but only to a certain extent. All classes have the same post-game content after their class stories end, so if you hate repetition in dialogue and storylines, this game is limited in content.

The upcoming 7.0 update will only only add a few hours more of storyline, so if you don't like to group up with people like me, 7.0 will probably not have much to offer you.

Absolutely worth playing. I started a month ago or so & I love Star Wars. Game is group & solo player friendly. It's hard to play some missions without friends though. So good to socialize with others. You will need their help.

Yes absolutely recommend trying the game, I'm always coming back to this game, been playing on and off for years. I would say this is actually THE most solo friendly mmo compared to WoW and ESO etc. because the story is actually interesting and allows you to make decitions. - Community is good too if you can get into a good guild.

Though I would say subbing gives you the best experience, it is absolutely possible to play every class story completely + two free expansions on your own! Do try it! :)

if all you want is to solo the game, each class has their own story so i strongly recommend it, gameplay is also super fun and easy to master

it is a quintessential Bioware game, so super friendly to solo players and free players. Flashpoints (this games dungeons) all have group queue modes but have story modes that you can play through with a companion and an npc support droid.

As an added bonus, if you sub for even one month you gain access to all the previous DLC, So actually worth it. crafting isn't required nor is raiding for gear as most of the stuff you can get from missions will carry you.

You haven't lived until you experience DK chat just once on SWTOR btw, so when you end up leaving one of the starter planets on the Imperial side and end up on Dromund Cheese, look it up! xD

SWTOR is worth going through no doubt.

Definitely still worth playing!

The game seems to have a rather smallish budget and team, so it doesn't enjoy the larger content drops and expansions that, say, WoW and other huge MMOs do. However, it is still actively developed and one is slated for next month.

Due to the voiced story content being one of this game's biggest draws (if not the biggest), it's progressively become more and more solo-friendly over the years. There's still some content you need to be in a group for but the overwhelming majority of the story content is soloable.

Chat is hit or miss. It gets pretty trolly on fleet, coruscant, and dromund kaas. Starter worlds to a lesser extent can also get this way. Chat can be minimized with the click of a button if you don't like it, and the chat settings and preferences menu give you methods to leave certain chat channels like General Chat.

So I'm going to go contrarian here. While I agree that it is worth playing as of today, when the new gear changes go live your mileage may vary. You won't be able to use any weapons that aren't drops (so no cartel weapons) and the gearing system post-75 was a total mess on the PTS, and doesn't seem to be getting any better.

So you may want to wait until the post-patch reviews start rolling in.

if solo content is secondary for you, then yes.

for me gear is somewhat secondary as long as there is at least some decent variations and visuals. PvP may burn. And for solo content game is still worth playing.

not really.... the game is slowly dying out, and you can tell because not a lot of people are active anymore, most people get on and then never get on again or they take like months and months off and then come back and rinse and repeat... the content and the age of the game is starting to show..
