How is the raiding scene?

Hello quick question for all you SWTOR veterans. How is the end-game raiding? Does it have an active raiding community and if so, are the raids actually challenging or are they on the easier side? I'm thinking mechanics, etc. Or is the game focused only on the story and the PVP? I read that they made the game really easy over the years in the PVE, not sure if this still applies

It still applies to the leveling process so that every casual player can experience the core of the game, but not to the actual endgame. There is a nightmare difficulty for Operations and they are pretty unforgiving regarding mistakes and sub-par gearing.

There is an active community doing those, but they make up a minority of the overall population. If you really want to dive into hardcore raiding, you have to join a dedicated guild that focuses on doing that.

Yeah, most servers have guilds that do end-game raiding.

For example, the guild I'm in right now (we're on DM), has 5 prog teams that do regular 8 man NIM content and 1 team that does 16 man NIM.

Some raids are challenging and have major DPS checks and mechanics, while some a deadass easy that can be done with anyone.

no... you can play for free but some content (especiallly endgame) needs you to sub for one month and then you got it forever... some functions still only work if you are subbed or have bought an unlock on the cartel market... also: non subbed players have a 1mio cred cap...
