I have never in my life seen such a bad design of PvP, after all my googling and research and testing I have found that You can not have fun in PvP till you hit max gear AND group with premades who are also Sweaty.

340 does not scale down, and if you arent at 340 u can't 1v1 or 1vX anyone. You also become a massive hindrance to your team.

I started wondering about this when I saw people complaining no one Ques up for PvP. Which come to find out, its because 95% of the playerbase are not max gearscore.

So instead of them making PvP inclusive to gather more people, they punish you, which results in most people having an average of 10 matches in their records and 9 losses averaging. That is HORRENDOUS.

It saddens me this game fails on so many aspects that could bring people back to the game, not only increasing sales in shop, but also activities becoming more popular.

This is a warning for all the new players ive seen in here the last week. Do not do PvP unless you are capped in gear in your brackets. So 42, 74, 80. If you do it anytime before and are not geared, you will get stomped. It won't be fun and has caused a LOT of players to quit.

PvP started having problems the minute they removed pvp gear. They forced players to do pve to be geared for pvp while "bolstering" players who were not max gear score. 7.0 introduced downscaling for anything above the cap (current pvp cap is 336), but the downscaling is meaningless if it doesn't really impact endurance.

So ya, all your stats are capped at 336, but you have twice as much HP as the undergeared player being "upscaled" to 336.

Bolster has never worked, and augments ignoring bolster makes everything even more complicated.

They either need to bring back proper pvp gear with the pvp expertise stat and use the patch 4.X gearing progress (which made warzone commendations legacy so you could trade comms to your alts and have them fully geared before cap) or they need to just remove gear stats entirely from pvp, which imo, would be the correct option and just make rewards cosmetic.

However, they seem to think progression is necessary for pvp, so imo the 4.X system is the perfect compromise. Gear was dirt cheap, you could farm comms in the lowbie brackets which could potentially repopulate lowbies (those brackets literally died with the removal of warzone comms) and it gives pvpers both gear prog and dirt cheap mods to mess around with their stats. It was extremely easy to swap out mods because mods were dirt cheap.

On the bright side, 7.6 is going back to the old premade system limiting groups to 4. How they ever thought allowing 8 man premades was ever a good idea is beyond me, and taking 3 years to revert that change is even more insane. It really goes to show just how inept the devs are.

There is a pvp gear vendor. It just takes 100 years to upgrade all your gear directly through pvp, and since that gear is still pve gear, its pointless to use that vendor.
