Subscription is a Scam

When you sell something under the pretense of having an advertised value and then deliver no product nor service, it is the most basic form of fraud. At this point, this has happened for so many people without a fix that it's pretty much intentional, because it's still on this site for sale. Why is Steam still allowing these people to sell fake subs on this site?

Why isn't this fixed yet?

(I know it worked for some of you. You're not the ones I'm talking about. Yes, I called EA. Yes, I sent them emailed pics for proof. They said it would be fixed and it wasn't. This has happened to many people, now.)

Yeah, I read the reviews for the sub on steam and did it from the site instead because it seems so many had problems with it.

If you buy it and you don't get subbed and they know it's a common problem I don't see how that's anything other than ripping people off. Hope it gets fixed for you.

That's the point. If you 'cough up some dough' you don't get anything for it. They take your money and say, 'enjoy your free to play version'.

I don't have the Steam version of SWtOR, but the sub seems worth it to me. The 525 Coins a month are roughly worth half the price of the sub, access to content released before and during the subscription and if you do stop subbing you get Preferred Status. It looks like you can have a lvl 60 character too?

I only subbed again yesterday, I admit, but I had no quibble with paying a sub a few years ago either. Is there some sort of problem with the Steam version? I have only visited the forum today so I haven't got a feel of what's going on yet. :)

Search 'subscription' in these forums, or any forum related to SWTOR.

Subscriptions through steam are having issues. Please contact costumer support via email ([e-mail]) and either use your account name on the request or send the costumer support request via the email linked to your SWTOR account. Then explain the issue you are having with the most detail possible. Be mindfull that with the current situation there may be delays on costumer support replies so after sending a mail to that address just wait as sooner or later they will answer you back.
That being said, this is a known issue since SWTOR arrived on steam and by no way subbing to the game is a scam.

It's been going on for as long as it's been on steam. When you do all of those things, nothing happens. They keep your money and you still don't get any in game benefit from it for having paid.

Ah, I think I get it. I don't use steam to up my sub; I go through the SWTOR official site to do all of that. The only things that I use steam for, are to launch the game and get updates that come out.

No issues with Steam sub here. I just buy the 60 day one when I want to sub.

I never use credit-cards I use Steam-Wallet only to sub. Never had issues with any game on Steam. When I used my credit-card way back in 2011. I had major issues. Never any payment issues since. No matter the game.

Never used steam to pay for a SWTOR sub neither do I use credit card for it. I use debit card and I pay for game time. As I mentioned I cannot afford a reocurring sub plan all the time. I pay through origin, by the way

Instead of complaining here go contact their support. Strange concept I know.
