Sub Drop Off
So my sub lapsed and while I was going to re sub most likely I logged in to check stuff out an saw my credits were capped back down to 1 M credits when I had more than that, so my question is when I re sub will I get my credits back or do I lose then and have to build back up from my 1 M?

You will need to pay cartel coins to get these credits back. They have been moved into an escrow, which also happens when you reach the cap. A workaround is to deposit your credits into your legacy bank when you near the cap or your sub runs out, which I have been doing for the longest time. You did not lose these credits, you just don't have access to them until you get them back from your escrow

That's wrong. When you resub, you will again gain access to your credits. You only need to pay cartel coins as long as you aren't subbed.
But putting them away in your legacy hold is a good tip for the next time your sub runs out.
While you can't have more than 1.000.000 Credits on a character unsubbed, you can easyily have a far grater number in legacy and get your daily needs covered by taking noney out of the legacy hold.

I really wish they'd lift that cap. The entire economy is broken because of the GTN and they just cranked up the cost of everything. The last mount speed skill is 1.3 million credits.

So where exactly do they put my credits for when I resub an try to get my credits back? however that is a good tip I will have to start putting my credits in my legacy bank.

I am sorry, I did not know the credits are transferred back when you resub. I did not resub to the game yet, so I did not experience it. Plus I always try to be below 1 mio at the moment. Thank you for correcting my statement here

And basically, Legacy Storage is among the best ways to store credits, especially since then other characters can also use them. At least in my opinion. And yes, you can have way more than 1 mio in your Legacy Bank, I personally have around 3 mio in my Legacy bank. Yes, I am poor, sue me

The 1 mil credit limit is on the character. You can have 1 mil on EACH character. Legacy bank is best way to store them. When you go over the 1 mil mark it puts the extra in an escrow account. You can access those by buying transfer tokens, but if you sub they are transfered back to your character for free.

You can see the credits in escrow hit the third tab on your inventory window to see your currencies it's down in the bottom left corner, as soon as you sub again all those credits will go back into your main credit spot on the inventory first tab lower right side, just make sure you toss them in the legacy vault before your sub runs out again or they'll go back to escrow again

As for getting rid of the credit cap whoever mentioned it up top as I said before if they allowed f2p/preferred to have as many credits as they wanted just the same as if in ESO they just gave the crafting bag out for free for all, both games would lose so many subs it would probably kill both games, I would like to see all legacy unlocks be attainable by all account statuses, and would love to see credit cap upped to about 5 mil but honestly as soon as that happens most people will raise their listing prices higher to compensate, it happened back when the credit cap went from 350k to 1 mil and it would happen again

they just reappear in your inv on your character OR storage

Free and preferred account are credit capped at 1 million. The rest of your money goes into Escrow, which you can unlock by buying an escrow consumable from the CM. ( Go to your inventory and click the Currency tab at the top ). But when you subscribe again all your money will be back available to you again. Tip for next time, when your subscription is about to run out, put all your credits in your Legacy Storage, that way you have access to all your credits all the time (While still only being able to hold 1 million at a time.)

They are not going to do that for two reasons.

-Bot sellers who would abuse it.

-They want you to sub, obviously. Why reduce the incentive to sub by raising the cap? The F2P side of things is in all honesty a glorified free trial.
