Isn't that the same thing with making a new character? The only difference would be how you design your character and name them. Like.. what, I'm confused

Im guessing OP is asking so he can keep the items. But yeah there's no way to reset a character

My guess would be that he has collection unlocks that he wants to preserve. If not that, then yeah it makes no sense.
well, I created a jedi knight in 2012 and only played up to level 19. In 2024, 12 years later, I only really started playing SWTOR. I would have liked to reset the character to experience the story again, also because I didn't want to lose anything. Like progress, playtime etc. if you enter /played for a character, it will show you how long you have been playing the character.

so I simply skipped all dialogue for the character up to level 50, because it doesn't make sense if you've already missed part of the class story. now I'm thinking all the time about whether I should level up to a jedi knight again, which unfortunately takes a lot of time

They don't make money on you keeping any in game stuff. They do make money from you paying to unlock the item you bought from shop for your account tho. I think the major thing is dyes from shop. Gotta pay to look damn good.

New character?. Gotta get them dyes again.

Indeed my character goes back to that time as well when it came out, would be nice to keep him.

You can unlock them for all your characters by paying 400 cartel market coins per item except armor sets which you can unlock full sets for the same price. Only thing, as one person already mentioned, are the dyes. They aren't unlockable account wide
