1.Level capped to 60 instead of 80 but u get stat boost if u play arena/instance, u might not be getting some heavy-hitting skill tho.
2. U won't be getting useful gear from instances(flashpoints) unless u either play it in solo mod or if ur party has 0 subscribed members(not sure about the last one). U still might get blueprints/crafting items that worth a fortune on auction tho.
3. Credit cap to 1kk and this is total bs considering that auctions has a freaking lot of items that cost at least x10 more.
4. Can't buy special mount which is super useful in both flashpoints/warzones.
5. Can't use highest grade gear. Tho it might be not that bad since i haven't rly had any issues with my gear even while doing group missions in solo.
6. Getting less xp but it's not an issue rly. I've just made thru second planet bc i was doing pvp/fp for fun and i'm already at max lvl.
7. Less slots in bag. Latest expansions for it cost real money.
8. Can't use personal bank, tho u can use legacy bank which is almost the same thing.
9. Only 2 sell slots for auction to go along with credit cap I suppose.
10. Can't play dlcs unless subscribed, tho this restriction is lifted if u've subscribed at least once.
11. Crasfting is heavily limited so just go with Slicing which gives credit boxes and don't bother with anything else.
The game rly pushes u to spend at least 15$ once to get most of it.
so wrong
That's interesting, I'm F2P(pref since I bought CC in the past), I bought SoR and most significant unlocks on the GTN way back when. Never actually played SoR and stopped playing for years because life. I only came back recently, almost done with SoR and I see on my ship console I can start KotFE chapter 1. Is it going to ask me to sub to even start it or how does that even work?
If you don't have KotFE unlocked, it will say you need a subscription when you try to start it. (If you are planning to do SoR, don't attempt to start KotFE until you finish SoR because you can't go back and do SoR after starting KotFE.)
Thank you for the answer, I thought I had read somewhere that they had made the first 9 chapters completely free to play. Guess I read wrong.
But it does seem like an odd choice, why put the mission on the console if the user can't access it. They could simply put a message at the end of SoR along the lines of "The story doesn't end here, if you want to continue your journey you will need to subscribe to access the next expansion[...]" Otherwise it kind of add to the confusion.
Also I was aware that starting KotFE would end SoR or most of the game story content before, but it's actually important information in case another player who's new and is unaware of this, stumbles on this discussion.
