Can't reset my password

i'm getting the email to reset my password, but when i click on the link and i go to the site type my display name and new password i want, all i get is a error "Account security key, display name, or recovery code is invalid/expired."

i get the same thing i also. cant get a security key cause there app isnt compatible with my phone?was on all my other samsungs

Security key can adding also Google authorization its only had to add manual Google authorization. its works too.

So do that 5, 6, 7 or 8 times. It may still take a day. But eventually it will come there. And once it shows up, it seems to be quicker to get other types of mails. Because you'll need a "onetime password"-mail as well.

Again, the same procedure seemed to work. At first, I didn't get any 1time password mail, but if I spammed it several times, eventually after about 10-15 minutes I get a mail, and every follow-up mail is within a couple of minutes.

Something to think about. Once you get the 1time password, you need to log in on the main site and update your security and bind the Google Authenticator to the account to avoid the 1-time password mailing system.

Another thing to think about is that when you spam the 1-time PW, you'll get multiple. So the first email you get, won't work, because the system has already annulled it and you'll have to wait for the second one.


TL;DR Step 1: Spam PW reset several times.
Step 2: Wait between 15 minutes and a full day.
Step 3: Login to main website.
Step 4: Spam request for 1time PW.
Step 5: Wait for 1time PW.
Step 6: Can't use first 1time PW as you've requested several. Second one should work.
Step 7: Login, and change security to add Google Authenticator. Otherwise you'll have to deal with their ultra slow emailing system.
Step 8: When adding Google Auth, you need another 1time PW, so be patient. Once you've spammed the mail system, it seems to work faster. I spammed this part as well and had to use the second 1time PW I got sent.

Remember, that the account you login to via Steam, will be BOUND to that Steam account. So if you have a main account and an alt account make sure you login with the one you want to bind to your main Steam account.

I can't even proceed past the "submit" button on the password reset form. it cancels out like the link is busted.
