It's a bummer the game is non-canon
I have barely gotten started and am really enjoying this game but man it's a bummer how this is non-canon :( it's just sad.

I hope Disney someday does make Bioware's Star Wars' games canon :boomboomboom:

Do like 'us others'. Ignore anything labelled 'Disney', and it should be acceptable.
-It won't be completely 'unlore'd' before the wicked witch Kathleen Kennedy pushes out 'The Hiiiigh Republic', featuring a rock(...) as a character.

Canon or non canon, enjoy what you enjoy. People now a days care too much about whether or not a story is canon.

People unironically complaining about Geode really show they haven't read Tales of the Jedi, Ood Bnar was a sapient living plant as a Jedi Master who literally turns himself into a tree. Its that kind of wackiness Star Wars was missing, and I'm glad its here again.

Legends had sapient plants as Jedi Masters, its that kind of wackiness Star Wars canon was lacking. #BringbackOodBnar

True. It is a stretch, but even a plant is a living being. A.Rock.Is.Not.
If nitpicking, Midicholriands are NOT living, which sadly has become interpreted as 'beings'.
Spaceships fly as in gravity... ...There are many flaws with this fantasy. but ffs. let at least rocks be rocks. There must be limitations to a fantasy world. Even on drugs, there are 'limits' ones have to comply with.

"canon" is just another trend nowadays. Today one thing, tomorrow another. Eff trends and eff "canon". If it's to your liking, enjoy it and eff anyone who tries to prevent you from doing so.

Darth Revan was confirmed in Rise of Skywalker and he was invented specifically for KOTOR. He wasn't supposed to be canon but now he is.. so.. anything can happen.

Each legion in RoS was named after an ancient Sith Lord. One of them was called The 3rd: Revan Legion.

I don't think of anything as "canon" or "non-canon". It's just Star Wars. Some of it happens in a different universe and that's okay.

Its not the first time we had sapient rocks. The Iron Knights were a thing, literally force sensitive rocks using droid bodies. At least from what I hear Geode is actually a good character.

A good way to see things.

canon or not, it doesn't matter, only one thing is important, everything since disney is not part of the storry

This game isn't non canon, it's that Disney ♥♥♥♥ that's no canon, fraking baby yoda extremeists.
Arauto Kagnos Mar 13, 2021 @ 8:12am
Gotta love how Star Wars fans will always ♥♥♥♥♥ about which piece of fiction actually happened.

I've always picked and chose which lore I personally decide is cannon for me.
Literally Me Mar 13, 2021 @ 3:20pm
Only the weak minded think Disney can decide what's canon.

Will never happen as long as Disney make more money selling to woke parents for their woke children in a woke world.

Old Kathy got totally demolished on an Oscars offical channel where she got 9k dislikes in 10 mins compared to 800 likes when thery decided to pull the plug on the channel, but Disney are to scared to sack her because shes a women.

Besides SWTOR is to violent for Disney it deals in mass genocide and ethnic cleansing on a huge scale something that hits to close to home when trying to flog your products in China.

Nope they will never make any SWTOR films and this is why their not canon.

All my opinion of course.

Meh, i don't even consider the sequels to be canon so it's not a big deal for me.

But even if you wanted to, you just can't put into canon the whole of swtor though.

There are a lot of pretty nonsensical storylines for being honest. Like, i enjoyed fine the whole fallen empire thing but when i first saw that, one of the first thing i thought was "the old republic is NEVER going to be canon now".

Then again, is that really more nonsensical than the sequels lol?

I didn't mean whether one likes Star Wars' content or not. I don't like the recent trilogy as well (didn't hate it either lol) but I mean, officially canon material is not going to be retconned, changed or downright ignored if they decide to reference or visit the same time-period/location at any time.

Just it being part of a bigger thing would've been super cool.

And is it gonna get weird/nonsensical later down the line? Damn lol

The whole canon thing just means at least to me is that the history/lore will be preserved if not revisited or expanded upon in future.
