Change of Ship
Is there a way to change my ship? I have a level 63 Jedi and I have the same ship I had when I started the character. You know the ship used to fly from one planet to the other?

If there is a way to change the ship can you please explain how to go about doing so? Please?

Nope. No way you can change your ship. It's tied with your class. How unfortunate. But I can't imagine what Terror would surface from the Beyond if they allow us to switch ship.

I would imagine the process for doing so wouldn't be much different from Destiny. I mean you only see your ship when leaving or entering orbit or entering or exiting a star port and there is a very limited amount of motion mechanics involved in those small cut scenes.

Many class story happens on your ship. Your companions have a fixed place on your ship. In every onboard cutscene everything happens by a script that is independent from and not transferable to another ships, judging from past bugs.

To allow you to switch ship would mean redoing all of them for all new ship options.

That'd be more cutscenes then the story updates we are getting in a whole year.

You can do many companion conversations without issue in cantinas or strongholds. There is a similar open space around every holoterminal which you notice when your companions or others are gathered around it. Not one single class/companion interaction ever involves interacting with the ship itself. They are all the same (characters standing still with the camera positions pretty much identical regardless of ship).

The reason they don't add new ships is that it would cost too much for too little in return. You need an exterior model for spaceports and the takeoff/landing sequence, you need an exterior model for the on rails space combat, and you need interior modelling. Why waste time doing that when the sheep will happily buy a re-skinned armour that took all of five minutes to create and has a 99% profit margin?
Well, whats wrong with whats basicaly A BLOCKADE RUNNER WITH QUADRO TURBOLASERS AND CONCUSSION MISSLES? Shure the Sith corvett looks cooler, but that CR design still fits a Jedi/Republic character perfectly. Especiel when you realize that the same design is used 3700 years from when the game plays by the Jedi (Same goes for the Hammerhead corvett. its nearly the same as the old hammerhead cruiser, althou heavier armament is added(and it only did cost the anti fighter weaponry to a degree).

So you want a different ship? Play a different class (and tip, both of the force wielder classes share the same ship for each faction, so the defender for both jedi, and the dunnothenamebadasscorvett for the sith, rest has their own ships thou the coolest remains the imperial agent one)
