its a good game but for a real mmo its pretty lacking in terms of endgame content,
you will have fun but most players like myself just resub every few months just to get the vibe going
But SWG is much better than SWTOR. I'd recommend playing with the SWG Legends private server.
You can obtain the game from Archive.org
Pros:
Active Player Base
NGE Server, if that's your thing
Large community
Amazing people
In-depth Crafting System
No Need to be a Subscriber to post in the forums
All features Free
Plethora of New Player incentives.
Macro usage (feel free to harvest resources overnight, wake up with 200k resources to use!)
Housing System (Which can be customized)
Fun Entertainer class (Make money fast! The Best Ents are some of the richest on the server)
Cons:
SWG was replaced by SWTOR because the devs thought there were 'too many Star Wars Games'.
NGE Server, if that isn't your thing
Dated graphics
trash, sticking with swtor
With SWTOR though, money is easy to get. Quests pay decent money that scales with your level, Flashpoints pay decent, H2's pay decent, bonus quests pay decent, etc. You can absolutely play this game and not feel as though you're barely making ends meet.
To me, SWTOR is simply the better experience. Just my opinion of course.
GW2 world graphics are great for sure. Physics are pretty good too. But during your levelling phase you are just following markers on your map of any hearts, hero points, jumping puzzles, etc.
SWTOR strengths is how flexible it is, i can be doing my daily run of solo heroics, need a break and queue for a warzone match and be right back on the heroic map to continue where I left off when warzone ends.
