question about master Flash points + bonus question on gearing

should i attempt a solo run of a master FP as a lvl 80 Sentinel/Marauder or an 80 Shadow/assassin? fully up to date gear for my lvl though they could be better if i upgrade them. they have all Purple and Gold augments as well but green gear in general. i am planing on spending FP-1 stabilizers to make them blue at some point when i have enough of them.

one more question on that matter, sould i go for the OP gear up grade instead? would that be a thing to invest in instead of the FP gear?

Why not just try it and see how it goes? I would think it would be doable on some of them, but if you're just wanting to farm FP-1s, it's going to be faster with a group. Even veteran flashpoints will probably be faster using the trick to get Supreme Decurion (blue) from every boss.

As far as Ops (purple) vs Fp gear (blue), it's down to what you enjoy and/or how much grinding you are comfortable with. If you like operations, then it makes sense to do them and get Rakata 344 gear. If you don't care about operations, you can get OP-1s outside of operations by converting FP-1s or Conquest Comms to OP-1s, but it's a grind. You don't really need purple gear unless you are doing Nim/Master operations though.

A third option is to use 340 purple gear from the mod vendor and forget about 344. This route only requires one 340 Rakata item and you can gear up your main and alts using credits (100k per mod) except for Accessories (ear piece, relic).
