That won't help considering it's an account issue. Such issues are best dealt with not on EA Answers or the SWTOR forum or even SWTOR email, but through phoning up SWTOR customer service team and discussing the issue and see if you can sort it out. Be prepared to have your details handy for when asked and be respectful when discussing the issue no matter how annoying it might be.
If you try to start up a new account while the old one is banned, the new one might very well get banned along with it and your headache will turn into a powerful and persistent migrane. So if you can get assistance from EA as to why the previous account is banned and see if you can get it reinstated, instead of trying to start a new one and make it look like you are attempting to evade a ban which would make you look even more guilty to EA, that would make them even less likely to accept your position if you try to explain what happened.
I am not condoning circumventing a ban. I read the "In a very LONG time" and made the wrong assumption. I removed the post -if I may suggest removing the quote so no one tries to implement it. Still a weird issue if nothing wrong they do.
If you got banned, call support, they will verify you and if there is no other issue, accounts usually get unbanned within 24 hours.
No it wont. The subscription will end. Same with an expired card.
Getting mad and reversing payment will get you perma banned. Getting a new credit card has absolutely zero impact on the game, subscription runs out if no funds available or card is declined.
The only other option is to actually call support.
And a new credit card does not get you banned. I changed cards between payments. If a payment falls trough you simply revert to be a preferred player. It's if you refund (do a chargeback) a payment that actually went trough. That will get you banned on EA.
no need to worry about your now deleted post, you weren't suggesting a ban evasion at all but it appears you simply didn't know that could happen. I was expanding more on your point though because ban evaders do exist in most if not all MMO's and multiplayer games and developers and publishers deal with them as well, that's why i suggested an alternative to try communicate through their customer service team and explain it out and see if the ban can be lifted.
This way there is no ban evasion to be concerned with and a positive resolution can be found.
or it's entirely likely the account was overtaken by scammers and credit farmers. i'm pretty sure there were potentially thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dead accounts used for that purpose.
if the account wasn't made inactive and still has a current ban, then it's likely it may have been used before the inactive limit is reached. There is just no way to know though.
