Now yes, technically this card is "enough" if we follow the requirements on the Steam page, but those are probably quite old and you shouldn't expect to play on High in decent conditions, especially in 2023 and with their new UI elements that seem quite hungry
Flickering Graphics and Textures
If you are experiencing flickering graphics and textures, then you’ll be able to help not only yourself but other players experiencing this issue. Jackie asked that you do the following…
Hi everyone,
We've received some reports of players who are experiencing flickering graphics/textures. In order to help us troubleshoot this issue further, we are asking for the following info:
- Type of machine you have
- Graphics card
- Driver version of the card - If you go to to your Device Manager > Display adapters > click properties on your graphics card, you should be able to find this info
- What version of Windows you have
- Dxdiag file
Send all this info to support@swtor.com and be sure to include your account name write "Flickering graphics issue with 64-bit" in the subject line!

so i looked further into the discussion and username thander suggested to do the following, which worked for me:
If you are using integrated graphics, the new 64-bit engine doesn't support them well because it doesn't recognize shared memory, only onboard memory. For example, if the integrated graphics has 128MB onboard and uses 6GB from system memory, the game sees it as only 128MB total. You can force it to use high textures by changing the client_settings file: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings\client_settings.ini
Change
MinspecVramCutoffMB = 256
to
MinspecVramCutoffMB = 128 (it worked when i, vesper, changed it to 128)
If that doesn't work, try = 64.
