Jedi Knight - Kira Carsen
Jedi Consular - Tharan Cedrax
Trooper - Aric Jorgan
Smuggler - Guss Tuno
Sith Warrior - Vette
Sith Inquisitor - Talos Drellik
Bounty Hunter - Gault Rennow
Agent - SCORPIO
Expansion stories - Theron Shan

Worst in each origin story (either no personality or they treat the player bad)
Jedi Knight - Sergeant Rusk
Jedi Consular - Zenith
Trooper - Tanno Vik
Smuggler - Bowdaar
Sith Warrior - Broonmark
Sith Inquisitor - Xalek
Bounty Hunter - Skadge
Agent - Kaliyo
Expansion stories - Koth Vortena

As far as combat ability:
Favorites
Healing - ZO-OM
DPS & Tank - Shae Vizla

Worst
Healing - Any dual lightsaber melee
DPS - Single saber melee
Tank - ??? Not sure, I don't use tank companions that often.

My overal favourites are blizz, hk-55 and kira.
I don't mind any companion tbf. The one thing I absolutely loathe is that I can't decide what companions should and shouldn't be allowed in the alliance. Darth Rivix is one such a character like skadge, that I'd kill or just full on reject requests for membership of my crew as soon as I get it.

I absolutely loathe that no matter the character they act as if the alliance commander is the authority that dictates the movements and standards of the alliance. More like they made you the figurehead to have someone to blame if everything goes sideways.
