I never put any effort into it, just played the game and claimed what ever unlocked.

I will say that doing it as a free player pretty much sucks and if you plan on really hitting it hard then run a sub while it's on as that's where the good stuff is.

IMO its not grindy

the Galactic Season is originally 139 days long, 100 Levels, for which you have to collect 800 points. 1 Level = 8 points

every day you can collect 2 points by accumulating 25000 Conquest Points on your Legacy, which is pretty easy. 139 x 2 points = 278 Points / 8 = 34.75 Levels. if you just login a server 4 times in a week and do nothing, you get 4 Points. 139 days = 20 weeks, so 20 x 4 = 80 / 8 = 10 Levels.

so practically doing nothing, you can reach 34.75 + 10 = 44.75 Galactic Season Level.

if you have Stronghold(s with open wings), you get bonus on Conquest Points, so normally by only gathering the daily 2 points you'll overshoot the 25000 Conquest Points threshold, thus you should be over 200,000 Conquest Points at the end of the week, which also give you 6 Galactic Season Points (8 for Subscribers) / week. 20 x 6 = 120 Points = 15 Galactic Season Levels.

all in all 44.75 + 15 = 59.75 Levels / 100 easily

for more points to collect, there are pretty easy tasks to do. this week imo getting the 10 points (12 for Subscribers) for Flashpoints, you want to run "Depth of Manaan" Flashpoint 2 times on Solo Story Mode, which takes about 40-45 minutes or less, especially with a stealther character.

So here's what you do:

1. Make a few bundle purchases from the cartel market.
2. Sell the bundles on the GTN.
3. Wait until the end of the season and buy all the levels with credits.

That's what my casual, lazy self did anyway. The actual grind isn't too much at all. Just sign in daily, do what weeklies you can if they're not too tedious for you every week, and buy whichever levels you're missing if you must. It's EZ.

Grind ? The weekly objectives can be done the same day they release and then a daily log-in to get 25k. (I consume 1 GS reputation item and I get 38k for it*SH+Guild bonus for reputation* so I get it done the moment I log in) Then I f off all day again.

Loading screens in Starfield take bloody longer than levelling up battlepass (Galactic Season) in SWTOR.

How I have done Seasons so far is to stick to completing the easy Seasons objectives per server (not impossible) for the duration of the event while farming crafting nodes and selling the mats on GTN for the quick credits needed to build up my escro (on each server). Nearing the end of Seasons, I buy a 30 days of game time, use the escro funds to buy any Seasons unlocks I might still need (per server) to reach level 100... and score a total of 10,000 Cartel Coins for completing the event account-wide. Yes, it is a grind but the pay-off is well worth it!

Starfield is ♥♥♥♥, SWTOR have better storyline than AAA studio, what a surprise.
