how to get schematics

how do you guys find new schematics that are not sell by the vendors ?

buying on GTN, they can drop rarely from NPCs at flashpoints or even in the open world.
Pretty much it, doubt there is more ways but then i am not knowledgeable enough to know how much sources there actually is.

Schematics will usually drop from Crew Missions.

The most common method is to simply buy them from your crafting skill vendor, located on the fleet base and most major settlements.

The second most common way to get new schematics: reverse engineering. When you RE something you’ve crafted, there’s a chance you’ll get a new schematic for an improved version (it is automatically added to your list of schematics).

The third most common way to get schematics is through crew missions, specifically Investigation, Slicing and maybe Underworld Trading. These schematics are not BoP, so you can also purchase them on the GTN if you lack the appropriate crew mission skill.

Keep in mind if you're reverse engineering you can only get an upgraded schematic if the character actually crafted the item, you used to be able to buy a bunch of crafted medpacs or something like that from the GTN and then blow them up 4-6 at a time and get a blue/purple/legendary schematic but now they actually have to be crafted by the character who's toasting them, it'll tell you the percentage chance to get the schematic also if you mouse over the item after hitting the reverse engineering button at the top left of the inventory box.

Schematic: Traditional Demicot Vestments should be in the the Lvl 40 Underworld Trading missions.
