Graphical issue

So I logged in today and I'm having this odd issue where there is a huge pink shape on the screen and wont let me change settings or actually login to my characters any Suggestions?

I've tried that and its changed the shape of the pink but its still there covering most of the screen

I've restarted my pc and updated my drivers also reverted them and its still there, might need to revert them and update them again to make sure tho

Not sure if this will help, but usually it happens when people alt tab as the game is loading. I would say close it and then don't alt tab immediately or rapidly click on the swtor icon.

This is usually caused by the client being set to fullscreen mode, and alt-tabbing, UAC prompt, or popup when the game is initially loading.

Workarounds include setting the game to fullscreen-windowed mode, or preventing popups and not alt-tabbing until the game sound starts to play, and the Steam overlay and ReShade (if using) are loaded.

How can I set it to fullscreen-windowd mode because I don't alt tab the game and it still happens so I can't access the settings

Delete the file under SWTOR directory named "DiskCacheArena"

sadly didn't work, but its a square now so idn, might uninstall and reinstall and see if that fixes it

Type pink in the search on the side of discussions there's other threads about it if you haven't seen them yet one might have a fix

Have you tried verifying the game files? I have had this problem a few times, but I've always been able to fix it by doing that, or as others said be sure not to ALT-TAB out while it's loading.

If you have Nvidia use the GeForce experience part to adjust the graphics. Might help

The only fix is that you alt tabbed more than likely when you launched the game. The pink shape (usually a diamond) is a missing texture. Restart the game and don't alt tab until the game is fully loaded will fix it. Otherwise you can set the game to windowed mode and alt tab as much as you want.

Then use a third party app to make the game run in borderless windowed mode and you're golden.
