2nd beside the level the ghosts fully or almost fully heal you on death, use it to replace malgus idiotic bughaviour, not counting on him as healer or dps use him as tank... can't be that worse
Did that, but when I popped back to take on the Gnost boy I found the darn Jedi had come back to life!
Bad enough when I was pushing through the content they'd show back up in 1's or 2's as I ran back from dying (the 3rd boss was really bad as both of his adds would always show up). For this run, they were back in the first room in bulk and I could see some more in the 2nd room and in the brief blaze of life after I got into there, it looked like they killed all the Imp NPC's.
I didn't have the time last night to really check it out, but will go back in today and see where it all stands. I'd hate to think I'll have to reset again for a fresh start.
Be nice when they fix this bug.
I was able to drag them all including the elite battle droid before the 3rd bosses position back to the NPC's in the first room.
Gnost just won't die though. Can't burn him down fast enough, before Malgus dies. I've taken to kiting him and just hitting him with everything I can and ignoring the memories unless I have to kill one.
They still multiple way too fast and then Malgus goes with me shortly after.
I logged off in Gnosts chamber in a far corner and there I'll stay until they fix that quest.
Guess I will level up my Jedi Counselor after all.
Still wasn't easy. Malgus is still a lvl 10, but the random Jedi coming back in between my deaths seems to have been fixed.
I spent a couple hours in the morning trying to get to Gnost-Dural. The mob's were all there less the mini-bosses (seems the dungeon resets if you log out). Malgus was pretty useful and actually took out the majority of the mob in the 3rd room with the stairs by himself.
Got down to the final chamber and swapped out Malgus for the Sith gal since her level was higher. Well all I got for my troubles there was 'must use Malgus for this fight' and you can't swap on the fly, so I died, logged out and went to lunch.
Came back afterwards and put an additional 3 hours into it wading through all the Jedi mob's again (this time Malgus wasn't as useful), died A LOT, but made it to Gnost-Dural.
Lost the first fight and respawned, than FINALLY killed him at the last minute! THEN the game locked and I was going to kick myself, but I let it cycle (Gnost laying on the ground just doing his jerking animations over and over and over again) and it finally caught and finished the cut scene and I was able to claim the win.
- Put Malgus on passive so YOU control when he starts attacking.
- Turn OFF all his AOE's (30m one's) otherwise he sucks everything in the room into fights
- Just steadily work your way through the mob's, pull them back to the Imp NPC's in the first room when able and let them take care of the mob for you (the 1st room they're right there and doing the 2nd room is fairly easy, but I was able to pull some from the 3rd room all the way back a couple of times too -this is where having Malgus in passive comes in handy)
- Once you get to the final fight, turn on ALL of Malgus's attacks, AOE and all and set him to active so he'll go to the attack as soon as you enter the room and Gnost shows up.
Bring a lot of heal pots and have enough in your bank account to cover all the damage repairs you'll take from dying over and over again.
