[SPOILER] Why do people love the Empire ?
Since most of the population are playing on the Empire side.

Bein a Sith = You'll die probably killed by others Sith.
You'll die bein killed by a Jedi if you're lucky, if the jedi did not kill u your Master or your Apprentice will do it.

and if you're an Empire soldiers its basicly the same but you're the "slave" from crazy siths who only wants power they do not care about the empire at all, and you can be killed fun without real reasons. (Like Kerrals' sons who were killed for no reason at all.)

Sith spent more time fightin others siths or empire allies than the republic itself. (You can see that trough the sith warrior and the inquisitor story.), it do not even need to republic to destroy the siths/empire since the siths/empire are basicilly doin war at each others 24/24

IRL I would join the republic everyday, there's NO CHANCE to survive as bein in the empire.

Well as far as the game goes, the Empire side stories are just more interesting.

Armor, weapons and lightsaber of the Sith look so cool compared to the Republic. Only Tech users of the republic look so cool. Old Jedi Robes barely have an update. Who wants to wear a low resolution armor in the game?

Storywise Jedi storyline felt like playing as Mary Sue and Gary Stu especially Jedi Consular.
The only Mary Sue and Gary Stu with the Sith is the Sith Warrior but that character doesn't know the SIth Code. That character had time to develop until chapter 3 where the story goes to meh.

Sith Inquisition an underrated story but you started as a slave at the ending you become part of the Sith Council. Villains in that Storyline are too strong. That character need to gather more power, new body to contain that power and political influence.

Compared that to Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular. Jedi Knight just met a padawan both of them are padawan. Now that character is the master of that padawan.

Jedi consular a smart butt and OP ability if you are a LS become a freakin Jedi Master so that he can represent the republic. Anakin will be freakin mad hearing this lol.

For the most part, imp classes just have better animations. I love the aesthetics of Vanguard for example, but I hate their weak electric attacks and don't even get me started with high impact bolt. Weak little yellow dot that makes a squirt sound compared to power techs rail shot that has this awesome build up sound and you just see this stream of a bullet go flying.

The only legitimate pub side class I like animation wise is scrapper scoundrel because he uses shotguns and punches people and his stun is literally a nut shot and it makes me laugh every time I use it. I wouldn't mind guardian too much if my favorite spec (vigilance) didn't have this ridiculously annoying scream every time you do the blade blitz reset proc, but even then the jugg animations are still overall better.

This right here as far as the game goes. I've played them all, and I can say without a doubt that the Empire stories are so much better then the Republic side stories. The Empire stories actually become different when you choose Light side and Dark side.

Otherwise, in Star Wars generally, Jedi are Mary Sue characters that are boring. No love, no life, no deviation. Just mindless, sexless drones.

The most interesting Jedi are those who don't walk the path of the Jedi and forsake to some degree their Jedi teachings.

Now add in the fact that the soldier is all "Yes sir, no sir, can I have another Sir" in this game it leaves the smuggler to pick up the slack.

The knight story is pretty good, probably my favorite next to imperial agent. Scoundrel starts out good till you turn into a glorified SIS agent. Trooper is..... fine? Consular though is pretty bland.

Yeah Knight isn't bad, but Kira doesn't hold a candle to Jaessa, and the Warrior's story makes you feel like a Sith too. The difference to me is go Dark Side Knight and it doesn't really change the story. Go Light side Warrior and it changes. Besides, Warrior you get Vette too. Though in the other hand, Knight is the canon story, and literally everything is written with the Knight as the center piece. Warrior though fits in pretty good.

Consular and Inquisitor are both kind of meh. Inquisitor at least you feel like you're doing something Sith-like. Consular is just one step above trooper in my opinion. Both are just bad. The only thing that saves the Trooper is the female trooper voice acting.

I agree with your fact that the smuggler is good, until it pigeon-holes you into being a Republic agent whether you want to or not.

Agent is certainly the best story out there, hands down. Companions are meh... but the story boosts that up nicely.

Bounty Hunter's story is okay... but it has the benefit of if there is a non-force-using class that is tied into the rest of the story, it's the Bounty Hunter. The rest are kind of forgotten.

Whaaat? How dare you say that about Kira! lol.

Games are fantasy, it's not real & provides you to roleplay something different. Empire gives the highest roleplaying statisfaction.

I would say its the fact that sith look more badass. I mean compare throwing rocks to shooting lighting? Also its the fact that as the Sith other people serve you, Jedi are the ones serving (for the most part). As sith you feel you have power and freedom. Even the armor looks so much better for sith, even the Cartel Market one.

Personally I like both sides. I think both sides have issues that would drag down society but the Imps have it worse. The sith infighting is the worse part.

The story... Well for the most part is subjective. Take the guy above who said Jaessa>Kira, I think this is really, really wrong, more so when we consider she has another big part to play in expansion with Lord Scourge.

For me favorite stories would be Sith Warrior and Jedi Knight.

Sith get to wear shades and use more emotions, there is little to no red tape keeping you from seeking your way through. The republic by comparison don't wear shades and use less emotions, there is considerably more red tape, enough to wrap around coruscant 16 times over and you are kept from doing things you need to because of it.

The fact is that you can do what you want in the empire where the republic is full of rules to keep you on the straight and narrow, like a lock-stepping drone should.

Also happy trails to those on the 25th.

IMO?

people like to do nasty things, so they choose the Dark Side

I imagine also that the empire, while a cruel dictatorship, is far more livable then to live in every half bombarded or actively being invaded planet the republic owns

There's a lot more players playing in the Empire side right now probably because they're taking advantage of the Double EXP event to quickly level up their alts while working on getting the "legendary" status. It makes all of their companions more powerful throughout in their account and greatly enhances their Heroic Moment for all characters.

If that's the case, then it's just "a phase".
