Knights of the Fallen Empire: What is the point of Veteran or Expert mode?

I love the story mode for "Knight of the Fallen Empire" but only as a single-player (Solo) RPG. What is the point of Veteran or Expert mode? While your groupmates can join you in the instance there is no level-normalizing and mob levels are set to the highest level in the party. The mission advances only for the owner of the instance and all other party members are Spectators only during NPC conversations. Veteran and Expert mode do not appear to adjust the grade of enemy mobs (standard->strong->elite->champion) but they still appear to be buffed for a group of PCs. Anyway, I guess it back to Flashpoints for actual group content since Heroic-4s are gone and Heroic-2s are soloable.

Edit: I think that you get more companion exp, renown exp, and exp as well, not sure tho. Mostly, just bragging rights. It's there to provide a challenge for those who want a challenge.

Achievements. There are players who think that the story content of this game is far too easy and only for casual players and they want to be challenged.

I just like having a higher difficulty. I tend to do my solo flashpoints on veteran rather than story as well. You actually have to plan for encounters rather than just repeating your rotation on muscle memory.

Mostly bragging rights, it's by far some of the hardest solo content in the game.

Thanks for the responses. I still like the story but not enough to drag my friends through it for no tangible rewards.

It's for players who want a bit of a challenge. KOTFE/KOTET story mode is so incredibly easy, you can just zerg through the boss fights and completely ignore all the mechanics. The difficulty is much more balanced in veteran mode, the fights are still manageable but you actually have to pay attention to the mechanics. Master mode is anywhere from pretty hard to impossible, some chapters are basically impossible to complete if you don't have someone to help you. Aside from increased rewards from the chapters, you also get an achievement worth 20 CC if you do all veteran chapters and another one also worth 20 CC if you do all master mode chapters.

yeah even on story mode the enemies are all uber bosses for this. I dunno who thought making it so difficult was a great idea. Not fun at all.
