And if that doesn't work, search the internet for "SWTOR Launcher Repair Tool" <-Make sure to unpack/install it to a folder otherwise it'll be all over your Downloads Folder.
Due to the on-going severe weather situation in Austin, TX (where our studio is located), we are going to be delaying today's scheduled maintenance. It is still our goal to get out Game Update 6.2.1 as soon as possible. We will pass on updates when we have more information.
This does affect some other things as well:
Possible issues when reaching Support
there email sending system is bugged and they never fixed it..
try signing into SWTOR website changing your email to a 2nd email then change it back
its what i had to do was a massive pain in the ass

There seems to be bugs all over the place with this game, both through the steam launcher and the regular/stand alone version.
What I have found so far is this:
_________________________________
Login from steam - impossible - tried a number of methods, including edit compability mode and admin run etc - nothing helped (message: "we cant log you in..bla bla bla")
Login from the standalone version - works but after login it wont download due to "network error 2006 and/or 2008"
Uninstalling from Steam - took me several attemps before Steam allowed me to uninstall the crap (message: "an unspected error...blablabla")
Uninstalling stand alone version - not possible through windows (message: "this file is not associated with...bla bla bla")
Other vierd stuff - in Steam there is a what seems to be a public message from Star wars ("on behalf of the publisher STAR WARS blabla will not be showed in your library")

I also found what seems to be 20+ suggestions, home brewed or not, professional or knowitall jumbo, non of them seem to do the trick at least for me, including tweaking compability settings and admin permissions of Steam and/or Star wars launcher, change my DNS to Googles (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4), include the game in Steam as a game "outside of steam...." and some more I have forgot - or probably repressed due to madness on this lol.
The most time consuming and pointless parts was generic walk throughs from different suppliers of the game etc. It seems to be for only users that doesnt know what an exe-file or the control panel is. So a tip is not spend too much time on that if youre not in that group to say.
Other games works smoothly so I assume, after all this bollox time, including reading others attempts to fix this with poor or various luck, the issue are within the game. Clearly it should not be this messy to just try out an advertised game in Steam (thats how I found it at least).
What confuse me most is that this issue seems not be new and is still in the loop. Some users report zero respons from game suppliers.
Let us know if you find a solution. Hopefully its out there somewere.
