Male or Female
Hi All
I was wondering while playing my Female Sith Assassin Tank how much if any the story line changes if I had chosen a male char?

Story doesn't change at all based on your gender choice, only possible love interests and flirt options change depending on whether your dialogue partner is male or female in the vanilla content, with the addons introducing some homosexual and bisexual characters.

Only Zash makes any comment at all through the inquisitor arc about her preference to gender from what i recall, which is just before she attempts her ritual to steal your inquisitors body.

Then she must do that only when playing a female Inquisitor, right?

All mine are male and I've never once noticed any such comments.

Ok guys thanks for that on my chars I may be planning on making.

Can I ask what differences you get by playing if you are Darkside ...> Light?

if you're playing light side on sith you'll be shamed and people will hate you because you're too kind

The story itself doesn't change dramatically, usually at most you get different dialogue lines, a few different scenes and a few different close-out emails.

But personally I wouldn't play the Sith classes as Light Side, as the whole story for both is so deeply Dark Side, it feels massively out of place, whereas playing a Jedi who is slowly succumbing to the Dark Side, i.e. "falling", feels much less out of place to me.

Last but not least, SWTOR is the only somewhat modern Star Wars story game that even *has* proper Dark Side stories, which is why I can only recommend revelling in the Dark Side as much as possible while doing them.

Last but not least^2, for the Warrior, Dark Side Jaesa is *THE* best love interest in the entire game!

Then my recollection may have been off. although i'm sure i remember some conversation with Zash about the subject.

i'll have to go through the SI storyline again when i can.

Thanks for that Homer. I have only played the dark side so far as like you it seems the right way to play the character. Once I have completed all the chapters I will have a go at the Jedi falling to the darkside, it sounds interesting.

Thanks to all that answered.

I'm currently doing a new SI, though he's still on DK... will pay attention to it, but as I said, I'm very sure that she never comments on my gender as a male character.

Sure thing, and have fun with it.

As an added pointer: the Jedi Knight storyline lends itself more towards playing a Fallen/Falling Jedi than the Consular, at least in my opinion... Consular 1st Chapter is just waaaaaaay too goody-twoshoes.

no, she's made that comment on my female inquis, but not my male

There are minute differences, as in real life. Some women/men are not into intimate flirts of the same 'kind', others are. -The outcome is the same. Terrible, terrible, hangovers....

You have to click a certain dialogue option to get her to say anything about your gender.

I have to Disagree with a capital D. Lightside warrior is one of the best stories imo. Darkside in this game is mostly just kill/bloodlust and being evil for the sake of being evil.
The Lightside warrior is soo much better, and at times a good laugh when jedi just dont know what to make of you.
I find DS Jeasa the worst, she is just a lunatic.

For inqi DS is better I agree.

Playing as an Inquisitor, you will get different titles in chapter 3 depending on alignment.
