Export keybinds/profiles with steam
Hey ! I wanted to know if there was a way to export my keybinds and profiles settings to give it to a friend (With the "original" launcher, it was in Users\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings and there was a "Keybinds" file and "GUIprofiles" file.
But I don't find where it could be on the steam's files of the game.

I did look years ago, before they created the "Save KeyBindings" in Game. After that I didn't need it.

To pass the information on to your friend, the best bet is to actually talk them through it.

When you log into a character and hit Ctrl+P to open preferences, you can see a tab on the bottom of the window called "Keybindings Import/Export." Click that and save the binds that you want to give to your friend as a preset with a name like "ExampleBinds." Now comes the part outside the game:

1. Go to C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings\Keybindings
2. If you followed the previous paragraph correctly, there should be an xml file there called "ExampleBinds."
3. Send the file to your friend and ask him to put it in the same folder (original launcher saves binds in the same location).
4. Mark the thread as solved ;)

With this game's problems, it's definitely possible

I’m having a similar issue at the moment. I’ve found my kebindings and Ui file in my users/local/swtor location as explained here. I purchased a new PC, redownloaded swtor through steam, signed in, loaded up the game. All of my keybinding and ui setups were all gone, my saves were not there to reapply. It’s like steam won’t save your settings, so you can have them waiting to apply to your character once downloading the game on a new pc. I could not find the user/local/swtor directory in the newest steam download of the game so I don’t know where to place my settings folder I copied.
