Next story update would be 6.2 and is currently expected to land around xmas 2020.
I think Onslaught is worth it if you have many alts to go through the story. There are two variations per side because you can choose to be a loyalist or saboteur for your faction. If you did four playthroughs to see all that, it would be a total of 12 hours of story. Bioware split their resources between solo story and endgame content this time unlike the Knights expansions where almost all the development went into the solo story. If you don't care about endgame content and only have one character, you will find it very short and probably not worth it. If you like endgame content or grouping with friends/guildmates, you will probably like Onslaught.
Shadow of Revan and KoTFE/ET really tied into my character's place in the galaxy. Jedi Under Siege and Onslaught just feel like standard Republic/Empire stuff that make me feel like just another gun on the front lines. I'm also none too happy about all the cutscenes showing me flying in some generic shuttle or fighter and not my class ship.
What's so bad about those expansions?
If you have access to Onslaught, you can skip the KOTFE and KOTET storylines by picking up the Iokath storyline or further, i.e. Jedi on Siege. The game autocompletes the stories for you.
He went in to painstaking detail in other threads (like two or three of them, he really dislikes KotFE/ET). I can't find them right now, but he particularly hated the non-jedi classes being forced into what should be a jedi-centric story. While I think it's a bit of an overreaction he's not totally wrong.
2. Non-force users dont fit to the story i heard that Smuggler and Bounty Hunter are worst
3. Story is just bad godlike-powerful new empire, reachable by small ships but somehow unnoticeable before that is also so powerful that could "destroy" both imps and reps at the same time but then got crashed by "Outlander and friends"...."Immortal" emperor with evilest and smartest plan ever existed: capture your enemy but instead of killing him right away - let him kill you, so you could waste years in a state of a ghost helping your enemy take your throne and then try to posses his body to get back the throne but fail miserably cause all those years your enemy was gathering (with your help) alliance and knowledge to help him defeat you...
4. I dont cared at all about Zakuul there are no Zakuul backstory in the game if i good remember
5. Enemies every steps mostly group of 5 skytroopers my friend played as IA and said that you cant even sneak past these guys fighting with them become boring very fast
6. Most of the time locations are boring simmilar looking corridors with waves of enemies reminds me Dragon Age 2
7. Wasting time to create gun i never used
8. Being random Outlander after being member of dark council is underwhelmed
9. Choices most of the time didnt matter or are very cosmetic
10. Dark side choices in KOTFE/KOTET are pure stupid why someone would want to kill allies or potential allies?
