Stats boost from Datacron in 2020
Does the stats boost from datacrons collecting still affect player stats in 2020?
And does it still give players enough boost to be worth it ?

Asking since this game implemented stats system change and stats/level scaling a while back.

Don't forget that mastery and endurance do nothing at all when you are on level sync, which is everything except 1 op 1 fp.

(The sync actually nerfs you when you trigger it, often reducing your damage and health as you cross the boundary, and the nerf is considered working as intended)

Yes, when you are not subject to level sync that is.

My opinion is no. At low level where it should be most obvious, your enemies die too fast for it to matter, proving again that player experience is far more important than stats. At high level... your stats are capped by sync 98% of the time, and when they are not capped the boost is too little to matter.

But hey, they are fun to collect. No swtor experience is complete without firing a cannon in the fleet museum, tightrope walking over Nar Shadda, riding the cable on Alderaan, going through the Voss cave to find a stonehedge, grinding the three little Rishi pigs for a week only to have your friends attack the friendly tentacles and everyone race to grab the crons while being bashed around, missing the Tatooine jump and have to wait another hour, or fall through a gap between walls at the last jump on Makeb.

Thanks man. That really help me give up datacron hunt. I've collected everyone of them up to Belsavis so far and the randomly spawning datacron parts is driving me mad. I thought the Totooine one was the worst it could get but after hearing about Rishi pig one and the other that may be even worse, I'd rather just enjoy the story. lol

Just watch a video of how to exactly do the Tatooine jump..missing it is enough to make you rage quit for a few days (I know..)

I already did the Tattoine one. The balloon bugged and despawn while I was riding it.
Still, helpfull if you start a new char. I just did with Sith Juggernaught, result is quiet the boost even at low level. Shure i will outperform this boost at like lvl 10, easily that is, yet still it helps at start.

I have likewise have gotten the all datacrons except the fleet and the last one in belsavis up till Makeb (holy hell that endurance one was a pain).

Tried searching around on Belsavis for an hour or 2 and didnt find anything and raged quit on that one.

Great thing nowadays is that they take effect all across your legacy, so all your characters get the boost. Way back when it first released you had to search for them with each of your characters... THAT was a pain.

Because of stat inflation as you go up in levels, you really don't need datacrons to do well at endgame. At level 50, having all datacrons may have been something like +5% damage, pretty sizable. At level 75, having all datacrons is probably +0.5% damage or less. That makes them mostly optional.

According to reddit these are the stats from all datacrons up to level 70: Mastery +194, Endurance +61, Presence +48. Onderon and Mek-Sha will add a few more, maybe 5 points each. Either way, these are really small bonuses at level 75.
