Yes, when you are not subject to level sync that is.
> And does it still give players enough boost to be worth it ?
My opinion is no. At low level where it should be most obvious, your enemies die too fast for it to matter, proving again that player experience is far more important than stats. At high level... your stats are capped by sync 98% of the time, and when they are not capped the boost is too little to matter.
But hey, they are fun to collect. No swtor experience is complete without firing a cannon in the fleet museum, tightrope walking over Nar Shadda, riding the cable on Alderaan, going through the Voss cave to find a stonehedge, grinding the three little Rishi pigs for a week only to have your friends attack the friendly tentacles and everyone race to grab the crons while being bashed around, missing the Tatooine jump and have to wait another hour, or fall through a gap between walls at the last jump on Makeb.
Thanks man. That really help me give up datacron hunt. I've collected everyone of them up to Belsavis so far and the randomly spawning datacron parts is driving me mad. I thought the Totooine one was the worst it could get but after hearing about Rishi pig one and the other that may be even worse, I'd rather just enjoy the story. lol
Tried searching around on Belsavis for an hour or 2 and didnt find anything and raged quit on that one.
Great thing nowadays is that they take effect all across your legacy, so all your characters get the boost. Way back when it first released you had to search for them with each of your characters... THAT was a pain.
According to reddit these are the stats from all datacrons up to level 70: Mastery +194, Endurance +61, Presence +48. Onderon and Mek-Sha will add a few more, maybe 5 points each. Either way, these are really small bonuses at level 75.
(The sync actually nerfs you when you trigger it, often reducing your damage and health as you cross the boundary, and the nerf is considered working as intended)
