Question about Referral Links & Rewards

Hi to all.

So i'm planning on Subbing soon, but i noticed the Referral Link Rewards & figured i should try & get those too.

I've only played around 5hrs, when it 1st released on Steam (decided to wait for achievements to go live), & have never Subbed, so i have a few questions.

1: I want to get the Preferred Friends Bundle with the Crew Skill Slot & Inventory Module but it says,
"Returning Friends that were previously Premium players (Subscribers) receive seven days of premium play with unlimited access to Level 50 plus the following:

Preferred Friends Bundle includes:

Unlock: Inventory Module
Unlock: Crew Skill Slot
Customization Control: Display Titles
Customization Control: Unify Colors" ***

it also says,
"You can refer friends who have never had a SWTOR account or refer friends who played before as Premium players, so as long as they have not been in premium status (Subscriber) within 90 days of the referral." ***

So does that mean that i need to Sub, then let it expire, then wait 90 days, then use a Referral Coce, & then Sub again to get the Preferred Friends Bundle?

That's correct, except you don't need to sub again to get referral bundle iirc

you can sub and still use a referral link to the the crew skill and inventory slot bonus. 7day sub gets added to your account as well.

You can always use Swtorista's you won't get paid but some people scam anyway I just feel she's put alot of time into this game making video guides have helped alot of people

or join a guild. get to know people enough to not scam you. you'd be throwing away 15m-20m pay. good armor sets are getting cheap cause of the wave of new players.

My friend did that, the system says he'll get his Preferred Friends bundle, but in reality he got the F2P box in-game. Two weeks and three tickets later the issue is still not resolved. I think it is time to open another new ticket.

well, i used a link 2 days after i subbed for the first time and i recieved the preferred bundle when i restarted the game.

I used a link from a Steam Friend & got the Jumpstart Bundle just now, but if i'm reading correctly i can use a link again in 90 days (during which time i will have Subbed & probably Expired) & get the Preferred Bundle then.

Referral codes are for people to get a week free with bonuses and support you with cartel coins

I didn't get the 7 days free or any Cartel Coins, just the Jumpstart Bundle.

I'm thinking maybe u need to have Subbed in the past to get the 7-Days Free Sub.

Yes that is correct. You must have subbed in the past to get the days and it is described in the referral page (linked by OP) in very clear terms.

It didn't say that, but from past experience you should also get the time if you are a current sub. Which my friend was when he used my link. The official website says he will get 7 days and the Pref Bundle, but in-game he got neither.

So he asked customer support what happened. The customer service asked him to find his referrer. We are glad he didn't find someone on the fleet who could give him more creds than me, and I helped with a new ticket. The same CS replied that Jumpstart is what he should get as a free to play. I send him a few screenshots last week, then silence until I resend yesterday in the form of a new ticket. Just got a reply that we must send the full screen cap instead of cropping to the relevant part.

Let's just say my friend isn't too thrilled with the experience and its weighting on his decision to resub. I personally suspect that it's because of a time lag from Steam. I'm still fighting but it's time that I would rather have spent on the game...
