And yes, its more a trial with F2P, nothing more. Think of it the same as FF XIV did. Its F2P to a degree, not the 100% game. THats still an ♥♥♥ one.
A lot of people says its not p2w but it kind of is, you get soo cucked on the f2p aspect, now if you look at this game as a f2p star war story play through, you can 100% find something of value in that.
Let me correct a few items for you. You are one of the many people who confuse free-to-play, pay-to-play and pay-to-win, which was the original question.
If this game was pay-to-win, you would absolutely suck at PvP. But you know it's not: it's a skill based system. f2p do not have "worse stats" than subscribers. The difference between blue and purple gear becomes negligible in PvP due to the boosting system.
