non-existent used memory
I uninstalled the game and it continues using memory on my computer. I downloaded the game/launcher and created my account, the data started to download and it told me that it was out of memory.

After uninstalling some things, I tried again and it said the same problem. Bored, I uninstalled the game but the memory used by the game stayed, and now I have less memory on my computer without having the game even though I have uninstalled it.

If anyone knows how to delete the game data or correct this error, I will be very grateful :( (preferably I would like to delete the data)

Sorry for my english, i originally speak spanish.

Game is located in the usual Steam folder:
..\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars - The Old Republic

There are some useful utilities such as CCleaner or AV programs capable of removing any junk files from your pc

I meant antivirus programs. But maybe all the deleted data were moved to the Windows basket still taking up space of your hard drive, so you have to clear it out

There is nothing in the basket and I dont know where I have to see those steam files, Im very ignorant in that area. But within what I looked for, I already cleaned and nothing happened

Probably a dumb question, but you have rebooted the PC since you unloaded right? Not just put the PC to sleep and start it up again?

Have you cleared Temporary files? Maybe the installer puts files there before they get installed. On Windows 10, it's in Settings->System->Storage tab->Click Temporary files after it finishes loading.

'Clear Download cache' is on Steam menu on the top, click on Steam\Settings\Downloads and choose 'Clear Download cache'. Maybe the SWTOR launcher placed temporary files somewhere in the 'Users\Username\Appdata\Local\Temp' folder, you can check folder sizes manually, seeking for a big, like 20gb temporary massive. Also it's worth to let Windows check the file system integrity by clicking right mouse on the disk and go to properties\service\check to let it scan on the next Windows reboot.

I assume you mean harddrive space or disk space, rather than actual memory (RAM).

Generally, you can search for "swtor" in your computer and delete all of them. One of them would be part of the main installation, i.e. under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars - The Old Republic", which you can safely delete after uninstall from Steam.

If you still need more disk space, I usually use a software called "WinDirStat" to find out where the space went.

For example it tells me my Steam folder is 78GB with this game taking up 44GB. The second biggest folder is my game recordings, 30GB of videos waiting to be recompressed. It's an indispensable tool to see what is going on in your drive.

So this. . . This helped me personally. I didn't know that there were still files from basically every Steam game I've ever had on this pc in the "steamapps/common" folder. After deleting all the ones for the games I don't currently have downloaded on the pc, or the ones I don't play a lot and redownload consistently, it got rid of a good 62 THOUSAND files. All of them were small, but it made a serious difference all together. Thanks for that.
