8 Years from release, not gonna happen learn english or don't play easy as that
I do not live in an English school, but in Russia, what is not clear here? If I need to learn a language I will learn it, but now I don't need it.
Learning a language for the sake of a game is idiocy!

I am from poland, live in germany.
And use english day to day be it playing or just chatting.

English is not hard to come by, most of it i learned through games so point about not willing to learn english only because you live in russia has little to no value.

Point about translation bringing more profit is weak one too... How many russians live in world? Then see what percentage it actually is worldwide. 3 maybe 5% of course they will profit more by just putting story because then they can reach probably around at least 1/4 people worldwide, and here we come that the number of potential players is declining that affects people from all countries ( different ages, better or worse average income, not intereated in games at all)

P. S. In end from that 3 to 5 percent of world populace that is russian maybe 1/20 of that will acrually play games, and even less will try swtor due to other games.
P. S. S and i know few russians who know english that live in russia. They had no problem at all to use English be it in voice chat or text chat
I am very happy for you and I want to congratulate you on your successful assimilation .... I don’t know why you and others like you so stubbornly don’t want to see Russian, and I don’t know where you get these numbers and percentages, but here is an example "the elder scrolls online "The project is not inferior in scale to" swtor "and possibly even larger, and so" TESO "was translated into Russian, as a result of an increase in online and sales. So you don't need these fictional statistics when there is a real example.
The hell.... Of course compare eso mmo supported by multimilion or miliard company with constant cash influx as where swtor is today being kept working from bioware pockets, that is very ( not) good example
See your facts yourself. Russia is largest country on the world, not the one with highest population. There is no reason to do translation for russian if you will be just a small minority of playerbase.
Translating it to Chinese would be way better alternative due to sheer numbers of people that china have, the more people live in country the higher number of possible newcomers. And in population numbers russia is nowhere close to china.

Another thing, we do have nothing against for russian to be added.
It is just you who can't get it that game have too low fundings, and is too old to even make sense ( is simply not worth)
Many players would switch to newer games instead of paying sub oc CCs.
Here is another thing you can't grasp. this game already offers hundreds of hours content for free.
You can't guarranty that russian players will pay for sub if they can play for free through most of it.
Most probably they will not even get half of revenue they needed to spend to complete a full translarion. So unless you offer to do it for free, it will simply NOT HAPPEN.

In modern times having mother language in games is not a must have.
It is merely a small quality of life thing if it is existant in game.

Besides... From your posts... Your English is well beyond the level which you need to understand swtor in english. And it doesn't seem to be like from google translate.
One more point to eso. You said that russian translation was added as a result of increase in online/playerbase and sales.
What that means is that russian translation was added AFTER that increase of sales meaning that translation had no impact on it but was merely a result of the increase not a cause for it.
~>The SWTOR game will not change until no one will play like 9 years ago many players due to different reasons probably CREDIT CAP, not enough NEW STORY . boring PVP too classic.

~>Different languages and actors needed pay a lot of money it's not FREE lel.

~>Demanding to add language you should go SWTOR main website or FB or invest on money on them that will change their mind rather than rant and throw tantrum with one another.

~>Highly doubt it will attract more players on SWTOR 4 language reasons.

~>I can guess this game still ALIVE cause some awesome class story on SWTOR.

~>Once new players are done with all class story it will DROP soon not fast like 9 years.
adding a whole new language, with subtitles and full voice over with many new Russian voiced characters, with additional animations to make the whole thing realistic. This includes doing whole new intros and other cinematics as well.

Do you know how much money it costs just to do one cinematic? or how much additional space is needed for voice recordings and subtiltes, how many actors need to be paid for their services and so on?

EA would never go for it and honestly it would be a massive undertaking to add all of it in.

LOL, you can pay the voice actors.
How much skepticism. Again. It is enough to translate the interface and add Russian subtitles to the dialogues. OMG, this is the minimum cost, Post above said that I have good English, no, I write through google translator and people understand me, And a small more competent group will translate the game easily and in a short time, it's obvious!
This will really give the game a new life, how can you not see such simple things.
No, offense, but why would they use resources on a Russian language if they haven't done it in the last, what, how many years?

That's still hundreds if not thousands of characters to go through, plus thousands more lines that need translating and in some cases more than that still.

The question of putting in Russian subtitles with English voice acting might get confusing and you'll be spending more time looking at the subtitles than focusing on what is going on in mission cutscenes and what not, you'd be missing the experience of why it is a game with a complete story and how it all fits together.
They will not add it , couse Bioware hate russians. EA don't like them.
Why? Who knows...
It's not like it'll cost a ton to hire some Russian studio and outsource the entire translation process to them. Compared to wasting money on actual non English voices for German/French/whatever translations they maintain its like a drop in the ocean.

Still not gonna happen mostly because this game bleeds its playerbase left and right these days, doesn't matter if they are Russians or not. Adding another language won't help much.
Actually, game doesn't really need Russian translation. All it needs to let enter f-ing Russian language in chat (and fonts ofc). It's so annoying to play in Ru guild and type cyka blyat like second class citizens. German, French, Latin Americas languages - they all can spam game with weird letters, but Russian is forbidden.

At the height of World War II, everyone also thought that adding the Russians would not change anything .... and they were wrong .... very much wrong
