Artifact Equipment Authorization, worth it or not? And how much for it on the GTN?

I think I remember seeing the Artifact Equipment Authorization for 200,000 Credits when I first looked it up a couple of days ago, now I only see offers for 200,000,000 Credits.

Am I misremembering or did the prices somehow skyrocket to the stars? If so, that would be kinda stupid, I mean f2p players have a credit limit and subscribers don't need it since the Artifact Equipment Authorization comes with the subscription anyway.

You're unlocking the reason people paying 13€/month for. It will make no sense for it to be cheap or easy to get otherwise nobody would pay a sub in the first place.

I dunno dude, having most of the expansions and endgame content behind a paywall would have been enough for me to support the devs with my money, having to deal with loot restrictions is just annoying. But I guess this is a game from EA after all.

The thing is, you won't need artifact authorization as a F2P player anyway. You're locked to lvl 60 content max and there's zero reason to bother with artifact equipment before reaching lvl 75.

Honestly maybe I'm just old but I don't understand F2P as a concept. You just pay sub if you wanna play, period. F2P is nothing more than a trial version to confirm that the game is playable. This is true for any game.

It's pretty common for people to sub for a month or more, build up a bunch of credits, then buy a bunch of unlocks (including those that might be out of reach for a regular F2P account) and then once they go back to F2P status use their unlocks.

EDIT: one other thing that you will see F2P players do is find someone that they want to buy an unlock/item from and they give them credits from multiple credit capped characters. This is risky of course for obvious reasons.

Really depends on the game and f2p model, Riot Games for instance offer all of their content for free and everything can be unlocked from playing their games alone.
Only cosmetics are sold for real money, and they seem to do very well with that model.

But I digress... yeah I guess I don't have to bother with artifacts, my main char is lvl 30 for now haha

Yea if your seeing artifact authorization for 200k someone botched up and forgot a couple of zeros

I let my sub run out awhile back and made sure i got that unlock before it did I paid 120 mil less than 6 months ago that seemed to be the going low rate at that time but account wide artifact authorization unlock is like buying a house or summer cottage in real life it's one of the biggest single buys your gonna make in the game

I bought it back when free to play came out, but I don't think it's worth it for free to play or Preferred status players. While leveling up, the only time you see artifact gear is from flashpoints or maybe warzone lockboxes. If you just do the quests out in the world, you will rarely see those items until you get to endgame. And at endgame whether free to play or Preferred you will have heavy limits. Operations are complete blocked. You can only get loot from like 10 flashpoints and 10 warzones per week. You may as well subscribe at that point which also comes with the ability to use artifact items.

The main reason i bought it is because you cant even do the purple grade 11 single use crew missions without it, I have 6 maxxed slicers and I'm preferred but you can get alot of missions going through 6x slicers every 6 minutes and when you do them the the drop rate of Legendary embers from them is well over 50% and some you get 3-4 embers so with a current credit cap of 1 million i can make quite decent money for little to no work and have lots of money for that day that I do sub again, that was the big reason for me
