Reshade help

can anyone please help me with setting up a Reshader

This game could really use it these days, but all the guides to set it up are all very out dated.

this is the only guide I could find, and none of it makes sense.

When I try to do it my own way, star wars will boot up then insta shut down before even getting to a loading screen and gives no error

I tried reshade a few days after this game come to Steam, and its installer works for me. It can find the game and hook to it and I didn't need to fiddle any files. Tutorial popups as soon as I launch game. I don't enjoy the filters, though, so I removed it after I know how it works and what the default filters do.

see thats weird, I did the same thing and the game just shuts off the second I boot it up

I had issues with the newest version of reshade with SWTOR I am using an older version.

I have not installed the steam version, but on the regular version I put mine in

Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient

I currently use Version 3.3.2.289.

The newest might work without crashing but I have not tried in many months.

EDIT:

Since there is no easy way to download older Versions of ReShade I have zipped mine up for you.

I included are my current prefered settings but that is just because I have had this zip in my game dir as a backup for a long time lol.

As with anything you download from the net I suggest you virus scan it. (Never trust a random strangers zip from the net) https://content.the009.net/gaming/swtor/SWTOR-Shaders.zip

Extract it in your retailclient folder and launch the game. SHIFT+F2 will bring up the options menu.
