Best Crew Skills for Imperial Agent Operative?
What are the best crew skills for the imperial agent operative that suits the roleplay of being an imperial agent. I assume Investigation and slicing would be a couple.

Slicing is very useful as there are plenty of slicing nodes all over the place and they pay out in a fair bit of credits. Salvaging is also a pretty good idea to grab. Imperial Agent (can't speak for others at this point) fights a fair bit of droids and it seems like any droid silver or better is salvagable.

As for third I went with archeology just to have a third gathering skill since I planned on making a dedicated crafting toon so having more nodes to pick clean while I play through the story is better.

I did the same. I took on my first Agent Armstech, Scavaging and Investigation. Many do Biotech and Bioanalysis with Diplomacy for roleplay reasons as well... poisons, enhancers and persuasiveness. Slicing also helps Bio, so there's that combo as well.

Armstech is a good choice because you'll be able to craft yourself Barrels and Vibro-Knife and also you'll have more choice for cosmetic orange modifiable rifles.

I did Armstech, Scavenging and Investigation back in 2011 for my Sniper but in the more recent crafting changes that won't be enough, you'll need at least Slicing too for some things in Armstech. There are other way to get the mats needed, like the Jawa Scrap peddlers, the GTN or a second character. Crafting kind of became useless to me beside for cosmetic so I don't really bother with it anymore and there might be a better option than that right now.

It really doesn't matter. None of it it actually done by your character, it's all done by your companions, you have more total companions than crew skill slots, and your available companions can thematically fit anything other than maybe synthweaving.

tbh crafting doesn't seem that useful, and it's not particularly exciting either. Might as well just take some gathering skills and use your profit to buy what you need.
