[How to disable SWTOR's bitraider / streaming client and download the full game]

Please note, I'm unsure if the launcher / game still forces you to use bitraider (streaming client) as of July 22, 2020 for new installs. If it is, "this is the way" to turn off / disable bitraider.

1) On your computer, navigate to where you save your game files. Example:

\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars - The Old Republic

2) right click on "launcher.settings" file and open the file in notepad (your text editing program).

3) Change the values for the following lines of text. For example, change BR to SSN and false to true as shown below.

, "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }"
, "bitraider_disable": true

4) Within Notepad, click "File" , then click "Save". Then exit out of notepad.

5) Within the game files at for example: \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars - The Old Republic and if it exists delete the bitraider folder and everything in it, but leave the rest of your game files intact / do not delete.

6) Navigate to Control Panel ... Uninstall a Program ... and if Bitraider is displayed there then uninstall Bitraider, but don't uninstall SWTOR.

7) After all the above is done, click on the SWTOR launcher shortcut on your computer or within Steam to launch / start the SWTOR launcher. Login to the SWTOR launcher with your username and password.

8) Sit back, relax and let the SWTOR game launcher download / patch itself. This will probably take several hours but once it's done it's done.
