Horrible performance on pretty good pc.
I'm having some horrible stutters on my i7 4790K, GTX 1070ti, 12 gb ram setup. Never had it this bad even on older hardware. Anyone else with this problem?

Have you played SWTOR before?

Ilandar, yes I have, and on older pc too without any problems with framerate.

The performance of this game is... Well it is what it is. It is unoptimizied because of reasons you could write a book from.

Play around with your graphic settings. For me and some other people I play with, the game runs best on medium or high. In low or very low it stutters sometimes.

Also you can reduce or turn of name tags of players in the settings... For some reason this often helps a lot.

Yeah, it's just weird that on my older GPU this game ran pretty much flawlessly. That gpu was GTX 980. Maybe my CPU just isn't strong enough for the GTX 1070 ti.

3600X 16gb ram 2060 runs perfectly 1440p maxed.

For me the game is unplayable. Horrible stuttering all the time. Something's wrong somewhere...Either my pc is not well or Windows 10 is up at it again...

Out of curiosity. Is it a constant stuttering or just one big stutter after a short period of time and then the next one. I had problems with the game with stuttering because of my antivirus program.

Solved. I had to put the game on windowed fullscreen. Now it runs as it should.

You should run DDU and purge all your gpu drivers and reinstall if thats the case.

I've done that just recently. I have the newest nvidia drivers installed. Don't know why windowed fullscreen works better in swtor.
pc 1
i7 9700k
GTX 1080ti
16 gb ram
installed on m2 drive

pc 2

i7 6700k gtx 980
16 gb ddr4
installed on firecuda sshd

pc 3

fx 8350
16 gb ram
gtx 760
installed on sata hdd

Runs well on all 3 pcs, including the 12 year old fx cpu. Now if we are talking warzones, then forget it, even my monster pc struggles to maintain 60 fps. The group pvp content runs like a 3 legged dog with a dead body tied to its neck after being hit by 4 cars and dropepd from a bridge.

No pc can run it well, its not optimized and never will be sadly. Some days it runs better, but nothing you can do will make that aspect run great all the time.

Now the rest of the game runs fine.

Just a tip for some of u that seem to get small stutters, ive been playin this game since beta and theres a bug with Scale Nameplates with Distance, set that to off, hf

I know I had some special stutter problems when turning the mouse and looking around. Maybe you could try messing with some mouse options in-game?

I had a stuttering problem and did some research. For me it was name plates, turned off the auto sizing of them in the distance etc, granted i had bigger nameplates for everything but the stuttering went completely
