Downloading via Steam or Origin

Will SWTOR download and update through Steam only now? Or do I still need to use Origin?

If possible, I'd rather remover it from Origin and utilize Steam as I can faster DL speeds with Steam than the SWTOR launcher via Origin.

swtor never needed origin, it has its own launcher that steam dials into

Most of the MMOs on STeam that I can think of still use their own launcher. Champions Online, EVE, Elder Scrolls, etc.

how big of a download is this? I sat through the first 11gb but then it started another 28gb package and that's when I quit

Not the point I'm making.

SWTOR's launcher severely throttles your download speed so it takes FOREVER to install updates or the game initially. I have a legit 1GB down internet so it's quite annoying.

Really only an issue for the initial install which shouldn't happen that often so meh. I've been downloading it now for maybe an hour. Lol. Still going.
